Another city meter mess. A Stratford woman received a $40 parking ticket for a car that wasn’t hers. It was a municipal vehicle. Oh well, who’s counting? The city’s controversial parking meters have claimed another victim and this time it’s the city itself.
A 73-year-old Stratford woman was shocked when she opened her mail recently to find a $40 parking ticket from the city
The ticket from LAZ Parking stated the woman had failed to pay for parking at a meter on Fairfield Avenue on June 28 and included a photograph of the car and its front license plate taken by the meter’s camera.
Only it wasn’t the woman’s car.
