As the Board of Education searches for a school chief to replace interim Fran Rabinowitz and examines the proposed construction for a new Harding High School, newly elected chairman Dave Hennessey has made his assignments to key committees.
Andre Baker, who will take a seat in the Connecticut State House in January, will oversee the committee that crafts the school board budget while Hernan Illingworth chairs buildings and operations that oversees school construction.

‘Twas the night before the Democratic primary and Dishonest Dave was nervously stirring throughout his house. The community had already started purring in anticipation of dethroning this louse.
Dishonest Dave was sure enough absentee ballots were stacked away with great care, however the opposition would not allow him safe harbor and another opportunity to cheer.
The Democratic political operatives safely slept in their beds with visions of a Finch primary victory in their little devious heads.
However Mama Maria had promised to deliver Dishonest Dave his dethroning and was fully committed to knock on thousands of doors to deliver his electoral stoning.
She had committed to helping deliver Mayor Grinch and Dishonest Dave their defeat, even if it meant standing at the polls for fourteen hours with painfully aching feet.
When the polling locations closed at the eight o’clock hour, she rushed inside to confirm Mayor Grinch and Dishonest Dave had been devoured.
Mama Maria turned to Dishonest Dave as his ill-gotten crown fell to the floor in a loud clatter, and she looked him right in the eye and cried “Dave, you should know by now I just don’t chatter.”
