From Optimus Health Care
Bridgeport Landing Development LLC is once again partnering with the Mayor’s Office of the City of Bridgeport to help Optimus Health Care to provide Thanksgiving meals for nearly 350 Bridgeport families.
“So many residents are in need of help this holiday season, and we are very thankful to Bridgeport Landing Development for their assistance in providing turkeys and nonperishable items so that so many families will be able to have a decent Thanksgiving dinner,” said Mayor Bill Finch.
Thanksgiving grocery vouchers will be distributed on Thursday November 15 at the Optimus Health Care headquarters at 982 East Main Street from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.
Jeanne Webb of Bridgeport Landing LLC says “It is with great pride and humility that Bridgeport Landing Development reaffirms its commitment to our Steelpointe neighbors in the East Side community by providing these thanksgiving meals to deserving families. Mayor Finch recognized the severe shortage at area food banks this year and asked if we could step up our assistance of the program at Optimus. In conjunction with our consultant team we are happy to make that commitment a reality for these 350 families.”
Optimus Health Care Executive Ludwig Spinelli said the Turkey Giveaway is consistent with their interest in the health of Bridgeport residents. Each Optimus Health care Department has identified people in their communities who are in need. Optimus Outreach Coordinator Leticia Colon said the Giveaway gave the health center the opportunity to find out more about the health of their patients and how to help.
