Bridgeport’s No Kings March Saturday

In Bridgeport – and in America – we have no kings. Power does not belong to strongmen, billionaires, or elected officials who believe they are above accountability and the law.

Power belongs to the people!

Let’s gather for a rally & march to demonstrate our voting power, to show solidarity with our neighbors, and to demand that politicians keep their “HANDS OFF OUR VOTES!”

1) Meet at the Route 8 overpass on the corner of James Street & Lyon Terrace in Downtown Bridgeport. This is a visibility event so BRING YOUR SIGNS!!

2) At 2:00pm, we’ll march down to the U.S. Federal Courthouse on Lafayette Boulevard for a closing rally! Bring your chants, bullhorns, instruments, and walking shoes!

3) If you register, make sure to bring at least 3 friends with you!

No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
