Pee-Yew! Trump’s Stinky Pew Poll Numbers – Just 30 Percent Approve, Under The Potomac

From Pew Research

Three-in-ten Americans now approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president, while 68% disapprove.

Trump’s approval rating has dropped substantially over the course of his second term – his current rating is comparable to the lowest rating of his first term (29% according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in the days between Jan. 6, 2021, and the end of his first term).

Confidence in Trump’s handling of several key issues, including the economy, foreign policy and immigration, is also lower than at the beginning of his term. Also, most Americans (69%) say they have little confidence in Trump to keep his business interests separate from his presidential decision-making.

This is part of a larger report on the attitudes and dynamics shaping the 2026 midterm elections.

Trump’s approval among his 2024 voters

The decline in Trump’s approval ratings is particularly pronounced among those who voted for him in 2024, and among those who did not vote:

  • 67% of Trump’s 2024 voters now approve of his performance, down from 75% in July, 83% at the beginning of this year and 95% early in his second term.
  • Today, 24% of those who did not vote in 2024 approve of Trump’s performance.

Among Trump’s own 2024 voters, his approval rating is down particularly among Hispanic voters and younger voters:

* Nonvoters include those who did not vote in 2024 but were eligible to do so, as well as those who were not eligible to vote.
** The February 2025 survey sampled 148 Hispanic Trump voters, for an effective sample size of 95 and a margin of error of +/- 10.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.
*** The youngest adults who were eligible to vote in 2024 are currently 19 years old.
Note: White adults include those who report only being one race and are not Hispanic. Hispanics are of any race. Validated Trump and Harris voters are adult citizens who have an official state record of voting. Vote choice was collected in a survey conducted in the month after the 2024 election.

  • 57% of Trump’s 2024 Hispanic backers now approve of his performance in office, compared with 69% of White 2024 Trump voters.
  • 49% of 2024 Trump voters ages 19 to 34 and 58% of those 35 to 49 approve, compared with 76% of 2024 Trump voters ages 50 and older.

Hardly any of those who voted for Kamala Harris in 2024 (1%) approve of Trump’s performance in office – this is little changed over the course of his term.

Confidence in Trump on key issues declines

Public confidence in Trump on several key issues has declined over his term

For example, 35% of Americans now say they are very or somewhat confident in Trump to make good decisions about economic policy – down 7 percentage points since April and 10 percentage points since April 2025.

  1. Pew cites the off-putting aroma of Trump’s continuing flatulence and robust bloviation simultaneously???
That is caused by adherence to Project 2025 and solitary self-regard, cult status encouraged and :
** failure to provide affordability of life quality for American workers,
**failure to limit foreign “wars” and make lasting deals, as a ‘trustworthy’ man of peace,
**decreasing job opportunities, manufacturing, and adding energy costs to farming, industry and citizens,
**not revising ACA to assure increasing citizen coverage at reasonable expense,
**dishonoring civil and military service of those currently active and those who were casualties of past,
** strategic incompetence in staffing the defense, foreign relations, and intelligence establishments,
** failure to honor the rule of law, inspector generals, norms of the FBI and Dept. of Justice,
** financial self-dealing to an extent unseen in the past century in plain sight,
** consorting with autocratic and communist leaders wtihout apology while blowing off democracies,
** ignorance of our own Bill of Rights and meanings of freedom of press, gathering, and speaking plainly.
What is rotting and still on the shelf with party complicity that we must resist? Time will tell.

Perhaps, John, but the last time I checked, Trump is not running. So his poll numbers are kabuki theater. By extension, the thread. 🙂

That being said, this is interesting.

Though it seems like a bid to cut the Port in half, 3,000 is too small.

If anything, I would cut the complex in half for an indoor main event venue. It offsets the downtime of the Amp with an avenue to similar venue/concerts of its size.

Moving the Stress Factory to a new and larger space in the entertainment complex seems to open up the door for booking upcoming comedians that have a footprint and draw. Who can’t book the 5,000 seats? But outlive a stand-up comedy space.

Perhaps a restaurant to complement an evening out.

Along with a convention center venue aspect. Is very intriguing. It would expose the Port to more influx and establish it as an entertainment destination, per se.

Properly designed for maximum exposure and benefit for the Port, it can be there without downgrading the facility, or the Port, by extension. The devil is always in the details in Port politics and development/benefit to the Port as a whole. 🙂

    Time will tell, right, John?

That being said, if I am going to continue this shit show, kabuki theater, I have to get a new horse to back, people. I mean. It doesn’t bode well for me. Shit, I got rep to protect. 🙂

I wait on Chris, I guess.

    John? Fuhgeddaboudit. Time will tell.

Nothing personal, just the law of the Port’s political rat-nest jungle.

  5. Final thought on the matter.

This is an interesting concept by Howard. I await the design to see how the Port/state/Howard cuts it in half.

You have to think of the loss of its 10000 seat venue devaluing the Port, particularly as a tourist entertainment destination, as part of that cutting the baby in half. On the other hand. Designed nicely, it can bring more financial support and exposure to the Port Vie entertainment.

I mean, cutting it in half gives you a year-round 5,000-seat venue, which will offset the Amp downtime, and a double events at 10000 would be doable too.

That being said. A split level on the other half would allow you to keep the box and a section of seats for an even small theatre venue, depending on how you carve that up, and the lower level would be that convention center booking draw.

Side note: perhaps some eateries for the tourists and a lounging area for the artistry

All in the design, booking. But we know how that can be. Pricks, Good luck, Port. It’s not easy with a willing rat-nest system, and Jeff’s goal is to work behind the scenes, working to—well, I let Jeff rant it out. 🤣:
