Under Cloud Of Uncertainty, Mayoral Candidates Make Final Pitch For Tuesday’s General Election

What a surreal set of circumstances. No matter what happens on Tuesday an air of uncertainty lingers over the general election.

Even if Independent Party candidate John Gomes wins Tuesday’s vote, an appeal of Judge William Clark’s primary redo is likely. If Mayor Joe Ganim, petitioning candidate Lamond Daniels or even Republican David Herz (yes, Hell is more likely to freeze over) conquer the day, there’s still another Democratic primary and then potentially another general election, depending on the Connecticut Supreme Court weighing in.

So, Tuesday, for now anyway, comes down to bragging rights until this long, strange trip is buried into forever history.

  1. If Port’s AB game is a culture of Port’s AB politics as John stated, Do you expect that culture to change itself, people 🙂

    I mean it would seem John has been deep in that culture, working in two administrations, ousting one for another. Sounds familiar to people. 😂

    I don’t even want to talk about his banker/backer, Mario’s man, Ricci. He practically imported it (curlture). Like a fine wine or should I say, like ripping cheese. 🤣

    While we have been hearing about Port’s AB abusive culture/practices, though generally by the losing side of that culture, via court challenges for a second bite of the apple, I haven’t heard/ pitch of any practical solutions to combat it, to provide` the voters of the Port OPEN, HONEST TRANSPARENT ACCOUNTABLE elections. Paging JML.

    A SIMPLE remedy to Port’s AB abuse/harvesting game would be to ban the distribution of AB to candidates, and campaign-paid operatives/volunteers and have them receive voter AB register cards with their mail address and have them return those cards to the city register’s office. Then have the register’s office mail out all Port’s AB requests. It’s not fraud-proof but a game/culture changer.

    To be fair, I have heard to limit the amount a person can receive at once. However, those limits are like taking groceries in and having to do it on multiple trips. However, I am sure they will sacrifice with multiple trips to the register’s office. OR some other BS political ploy to please with no real remedy for the votes. 🙂)

    They only do it to illustrate the other side’s AB request. Similar to only showing the other side’s operatives stuffing the ballot box. Well? considering, the insides know, Wanda/Mario was really working on behalf of the Gomes/Ricci camp So everything is not always what it seems, But I am not telling you something you already don’t know. 🙂

    JML, perhaps on your addresses to the CC you can make the case/statement/answer for this SIMPLE procedure to remedy Ports AB’s abuse? What say you unrig Gen Now?

    I have an idea or two for improving governance behavior including the OPEN, ACCOUNTABLE, TRANSPARENT, and HONEST values I have professed on OIB, before the City Council at public speaking sessions and in writing to the CT Post or other media.
    See you there? Or not? Time will tell.

  4. It was great to see the throngs of people in the “Joe gotta go” clip previously. The video would make a great ad to draw those from out of town who might be interested in investing their money to establish businesses or possibly even to reside in the “Gold Coast” city of Bridgeport.
    Especially now that the ballot stuffing news has been broadcast all over the country. That being said, I think that Mike Defilippo has a large problem ahead of him with his upcoming case of voter fraud. First, it may just get nationwide attention on the heels of what has already been all over the news AND internet. Second, now that he is nothing to the Bridgeport and State Democratic Party, he may just have to be served up as the “sacrificial lamb”, receiving the maximum punishment (if found guilty 😂) so that the democrats can show that they are the party of justice and do not tolerate such illegal behavior when it comes to the freedom to vote.
    The State has already petitioned the court to reverse its decision when it dropped one of the charges against him. I would not want to be in his shoes considering all that is occurring in Shitport. I mean Bridgeport.
    When’s his trial Len?
