Mayor Joe Ganim on Friday signed the City Council-backed ordinance that codifies Connecticut’s Trust Act limiting communication between the Federal Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents and local police. It also requires the city to train municipal employees on the provisions of the Trust Act and take steps to ensure non-discrimination and inclusion in city services.

“Johnny come lately”
Wait a minute. The state passed a Trust Act. So now Ganim feels it’s OK for him to sign one for the City of Bport.
That’s a real profile in courage.
Let’s not forget to thank him for showing real courage in doing so Aidee.
As I have expressed before, codifying it is meaningless because the State Statute is the law.
The action of the city council and mayor is just pandering.
