On Thursday, February 27, state Senator Dennis Bradley (D-Bridgeport) and state Representative Christopher Rosario (D-Bridgeport) will hold a community meeting to discuss preventative measures to protect Bridgeport residents from gun violence from 6 pm-7:30 pm at Columbus School on 275 George Street in Bridgeport.
This community meeting comes in the aftermath of several shootings in Bridgeport, including one in which four people were shot outside the Golden Hill Street Courthouse on January 27. They will be joined by City Councilors Denese Taylor-Moye and Jorge Cruz.

Two people were taken into custody Tuesday after a search of a Hamilton Street residence where narcotics and an illegally possessed firearm were seized. During the search of the residence, investigators found a loaded Micro Draco AK-47, with multiple rounds of ammunition, approximately 723 folds of packaged heroin which weighed approximately 217.2 grams, and drug packaging paraphernalia.
