Julia Marie Moore would have turned 104 on July 13. She resided in Bridgeport more than 80 years. Her daughter State Senator Marilyn Moore shared these thoughts on her Facebook page:
“Julia Marie Moore, our mom, is now at rest. We had her for 103 years 345 days. We are a blessed family and we know who has her. Thank you for all of the condolences. Home going on Wednesday June 26 at Blessed Sacrament Church.”
Obituary:
Julia Marie Moore, age 103, of Bridgeport entered eternal rest on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 13, 1915. She resided in Bridgeport for more than 80 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament RCC Church. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Claude Moore; sons, Michael and Martin Moore, and nephew Ronald Mitchell. She is survived by four daughters, Millicent Moore, State Senator Marilyn Moore, Michelle Moore and Marsha Williams (Johnnie) all of Bridgeport; eighteen grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26 at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, Celebrant Fathers Skip Karcsinski and Reginald Norman. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m.- 12 noon with a mass of Christian burial at 12 noon. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport immediately following the homegoing service. Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, Bridgeport entrusted with arrangements.

My condolences are with the Senator and the entire family. For as long as I’ve known the Senator, Sunday was also “Mothers” day, all other matters were put aside. This is one of the comforts that a tradition like that brings.
103 years and 345 days, God Bless, what a life. As God shepherd Julia Moore through the storm of the lost of loved ones God will shepherd Marilyn and the family through this storm of the lost of Julia Marie Moore.

May she Rest in peace, I’ve known the family a long time. Her Late brother Martin and I where best of friends as kids we walk to school a many of day. Mrs. Moore was a beautiful person God bless her she always made us feel all the kids growing up was her children.
