  1. This is long over due. While in hartford this morning pushing for Clean Slate bill. I work with men and women who have paid their debt back to society. This bill if past would allow thousands of individuals to move on with their lives by wiping out after 3 yrs Misdemeanors and 5yrs Non-violent felonies. Once a person serves his or her time. They should not have to pay for the rest on their Lives!

  2. I hope that the state legislature is reviewing unbiased, objective studies on this issue.
‘CONECT’ operates on emotional appeal for issues not reflecting the concerns of the typical Connecticut resident.
The ‘Center for Economic and Policy Research’ may have an academic ring to it’s name, but it is very much a left-leaning think tank that collects data to support ‘progressive’ points of view.

    1. Tom White, I think that it would be a great idea you to speak as a witness against the Connecticut’s Clean Slate bill at the next State hearing. Tom you said, “‘CONECT’ operates on emotional appeal for issues not reflecting the concerns of the typical Connecticut resident,” well what is typical Connecticut resident and you are saying that those who are NOT typical Connecticut resident have NO rights or voice?

  3. Ron Mackey, outside of the urban centers, populated mostly by people of color, incarceration and the issues with employment, etc. are not prevalent.
One would expect the legislature to adopt guidelines that reflect the type of offense committed.
We do not know all the details of the legislation and what the final form will be.
No, I see no need to testify, as it will likely be approved on party lines as an example of Democrat party pandering to people of color.
