When Will Ex-Principal’s Name Be Scrubbed From Dunbar Website?

She’s no longer the principal at Dunbar Elementary School after allegedly stealing $10,000 from a student activities account, but Marilyn Taylor’s name and welcoming remarks were still highlighted on the school website Tuesday.

The principal accused of stealing more than $10,000 from a Dunbar Elementary School fundraising account and losing it at casinos no longer works for the Bridgeport school district.

Marilyn Taylor, 45, who has been collecting a salary since her suspension on Nov. 10, submitted a letter of resignation effective last Friday, and the Board of Education voted 6-3 Monday to authorize interim Schools Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz to accept it.

The action stops Taylor’s pay immediately, but she will receive one month of continued medical benefits under the agreement.
