“We Are PISSED…We Find This To Be A Big Insult”- Probate Judge Candidate Mark Bradley, Pereira Receive Blowback From Success Village For Dumpster ‘Vote-Buying’

City Councilwoman Maria Pereira and Mark Bradley campaigning Saturday at Success Village. They were not welcome by residents.

Residents of tightly knit Success Village are “pissed and insulted” for what they say was a vote-buying tactic by the campaign of Judge of Probate candidate Mark Bradley whose law firm did everything possible to fight a state judge weighing a receiver to manage the tragic conditions at Success Village, including no heat and hot water and misappropriation of millions of dollars in common charges to finance services.

The FBI recently executed a search warrant at the housing co-op Ty Bird once controlled as they connect the dots to millions of unaccounted money fleeced from the common charges of residents. The Bradley law firm represents Bird.

On Saturday, according to multiple residents, dumpsters were placed at the 1,000-unit housing co-op for a spring cleaning financed by former State Senator Dennis Bradley, convicted in March by a federal jury on six-counts of election fraud, as a gimmick to promote his brother’s candidacy.

A dumpster at Success Village, directed there by Maria Pereira and financed by Dennis Bradley, according to residents.

City Councilwoman Maria Pereira, who represents the district and is supporting Mark Bradley’s candidacy, helmed the dumpster day that a lot of residents boycotted. Residents were also appalled by Mark Bradley wearing a Success Village t-shirt while campaigning for votes. Pereira is part of a Bradley-campaign core group hustling signatures to qualify Bradley for an August Democratic primary against long-time Probate Judge Paul Ganim.

The deadline to file all petition sheets is 4 p.m. Tuesday and they must secure approximately 1,700 certified signatures for Mark Bradley to qualify.

Pereira is also defending multiple state charges of election fraud against her.

Investigators with the State Elections Enforcement Commission have launched a probe of Mark Bradley who has voted flagrantly in multiple city elections since 2018 while also simultaneously casting ballots in the state of Massachusetts as a registered Republican, according to records provided by respective election officials.

Court records also show that Bradley has established a clear residency in Massachusetts under his own signature while also enrolled in the state of Massachusetts healthcare program. His children also attend school in Massachusetts.

Mark Bradley, left, and ex Success Village board leader Ty Bird, campaigning for Dennis Bradley in 2018.

While voting in Bridgeport multiple times the past decade, the start of which was on behalf of his brother, Mark Bradley also did not register a motor vehicle in Bridgeport until it coincided recently with his formal candidacy for judge of probate, avoiding car taxes paid to the city.

The Bradley Law Group, led by partners Dennis and Mark Bradley, was at the table trying to keep Ty Bird in charge two years ago, making court appearances and receiving handsome legal fees. When municipal leadership in Bridgeport and Stratford prevailed upon Superior Court Judge Dale Radcliffe to jettison Ty Bird and appoint a receiver to reverse the mess caused under his watch, Dennis Bradley argued against it in court.

Wanting to keep the gravy train running at the expense of victimized homeowners, Bradley told the court finances at the co-op were peachy, when in massive-debt shambles, millions missing and unaccounted – no heat or hot water to boot.

Then, when that didn’t work, Bradley tried another dipsy-doodle stall tactic to waste more Success Village money: a federal bankruptcy filing. A federal judge wanted no part of the ruse, quickly dispatching the request so Judge Radcliffe could implement the management change, dissolving the board led by Bird.

The Bradley brothers did no favors for the residents of Success Village so a plan was concocted to win over residents they screwed, they say. It backfired judging from the comments thread of many Success residents from the Success Village Community Facebook page.

“We are PISSED. We find this to be a big insult to us,” resident Morgan Schick wrote OIB on Monday.

Comments thread follows:

Bradley signatures after what the brother did to us? Absolutely not

Before anyone goes door-to-door asking for signatures at Success Village, residents should ask one simple question: why should we trust the same political circles that stood by while our community was pushed into bankruptcy?
Many of us are still dealing with the consequences of years of mismanagement, financial uncertainty, unpaid obligations, and decisions that impacted every homeowner. Residents have every right to question the motives of those now seeking support, signatures, or votes.
Trust is earned through accountability, not campaign flyers and door knocks. Success Village deserves leaders who show up when the community is struggling, not just when they need something from us.
Residents should stay informed, ask tough questions, and remember that a signature is support—and support should be earned. Dennis Bradley did and still does not support us being Tyreke birds attorney for his local arrests! Sickening wearing success village shirts at that when trying bankruptcy on our behalf with Ty Bird

So this is the price We as SVA members are paying because Maria asked Dennis Bradley for these Dumpsters. SMH
Keep politics out of Success Village!

Oh Maria, why would you do this? Unbelievable,  well of course he paid for them he only is holding on to hundreds of thousands of our dollars….maybe you could ask him refund all foul money he made with Mr. bird from us.

Sva doesn’t want anything for Dennis period. Stop coming in here making it political you don’t even live here

Maria Pereira Dennis Bradley did NOTHING for SVA but try and help Ty get away w the corruption he did. Reading about what Mark bradley is accused of is beyond ridiculous and Noone from Bradley or Ganim campaign should be on SVA property looking for any votes. Neither one of those have helped SVA for the better. This is all political BS and SVA resiedents deserve peace and tranquility. Hearing that Bradley paid for the dumpsters and you supported that is shameful. Epstein, Crossland, Bradley shoukd all go to jail for what they have done to SVA residents 🤬🤬🤬

Before supporting any politician make sure you are informed, do your research before endorsing a candidate.
Dennis Bradley DID nothing for SVA but defended the previous board president and stalled the court hearing allowing ample time for the bankruptcy papers to be filed forcing the receivership hearing to be halted until the bankruptcy hearing could be heard.
Have you read what Mark Bradley is allegedly being investigated for?
Transparency and trust are essential attributes any politician must possess.
Our votes matter!

These are a few of the statements from the Massachusetts Judge overseeing Mark Bradley’s case, we all know Dennis was with Ty before, during and after the nightmare we have gone through, and you can look up that he is still representing Ty (just like Darnell Crossland) in his multiple civil cases on the Bridgeport Courts website. When’s enough enough with these people?

Mark Haynes Don’t forget Dennis keeps continuing Mr. Birds cases! How convenient is that. Or the Secret meetings that took place to take over SVA at Bradley’s law(s) office with both brothers firm. We are Collateral damage.

They think you all owe them now with your vote. Don’t fall for it. You can’t by votes!!

In my own opinion, I believe politicians need to take actions for what they “promote” to gain our votes before they come into our community going door to door knocking and asking for our signatures to support them. Like the post states, we need to ask them for their accountability and they need to earn our trusts. When we were facing the lack of transparency of our funds, possibility of losing our homes, losing basic human needs of having heat and hot water, and taxes unpaid due to years of mismanagement, the politicians that should have put the people and community that they serve first and foremost decided to stand back while we were pushed into bankruptcy, so why should we stand in support of them?
How can they wear a success village shirt to act like they care when they only come by when they need to get votes?
We need political leaders to stand with us at all times good or bad and not just when they need to gain votes to secure their positions.
They were elected by the people to serve the people and community and they need to take responsibility and do so. The political position puts them in power on behalf of the people and the community. They need to sit down, meet with us, and hear the voices of the people.

  1. Wait, What? Is this for or against the incumbent?

“Before anyone goes door-to-door asking for signatures at Success Village, residents should ask one simple question: why should we trust the same political circles that stood by while our community was pushed into bankruptcy?”

IDK Port, how is Bradley’s representation of Brid or paying for some dumbers a reflection on his brother? Or, more importantly, how is he the reason for SV’s current situation? I mean, the last time I checked, Brid was elected by SV residents, and Mark’s brother, Denis, is the issue for defending him. 🙂

I know this is nothing but Port politics at its best, “disingenuously” spreading. But for all I know, Mark has talked to his brother in three years. What says, you Moses 🙂

    Billboards? Mark, Paul.

What say, you Luke? Perhaps we should blame the Father, people/Port 🙂
