  1. I’ve heard what Joe is demonstrating referred to as ‘platform envy’.
The President and Governors make an appearance everyday. They have specific and relevant information to share, and accountable staff to provide details.
Is there a need for the City to make residents aware of Bridgeport-specific issues? Of course.
What did the Mayor report that is Bridgeport-specific and not shared in the media? No leaf pick-up?
Having a City website page dedicated to Bridgeport-specific notices is helpful.
Having Joe Ganim reminding us to wash our hands is not.
More people have likely viewed his ‘town hall’ on OIB than viewed it live.
The Mayor has talked about how hard city employees are working, yet some services are suspended.
Did I miss the part where he detailed the cost savings based on the number of city employees that have been furloughed?

  2. Looks like Joe wants to $500,000 to buy computers for some of the kids to start the online learning. The CC says they have no idea where the $ will come from…I say take it from that “secret” acct Joe seems to have that he uses to pay for lawyers to get his friends cleared, last we heard about 30 days ago,the lawyers’s tab was $300,000,by now it has to be much more than that..that acct seems to be bottomless..

  4. Like I said it’s the Coronavirus Tax Increase!
Tell the BOE to find it.
How many buildings are going unoccupied?
How much is being saved in utilities?
How many custodians are cleaning the schools that aren’t being used?
How many part time cafeteria workers are doing nothing?
How many part time employees could be making more money by getting laid off and collecting PLUS the $600 federal bump?
Come on Budget Co-chairs! Do your jobs!
