Is there any way to describe 2020? And there are two months left. Nuts, crazy, kooky, surreal, unpredictable, nightmarish, tragic, alarming, disturbing. Maybe the year is just indescribable.

Anyhoo, democracy beckons the spirit to vote. In case you need a little nudge or reminder, you can still vote by absentee ballot checking Covid as the reason, or show up at your local polling place Nov. 3.

The community action group Bridgeport Generation Now is doing its part, see video above, to churn out the vote.

  1. Since Lennie didn’t give us the pleasure to comment on the last presidential debate, I will that this opportunity to say, to my surprise, Trump actually won that debate and come off quite well. If you asked me in January, before Corona, lockdown, Floyd, and protest/rioting if wasTrump going to win reelection? I would have said he had zero chance. Now, running against Biden he has a better chance than Biden. Don’t be surprised this election night goes like Trump VS Hilary. JS

    2. Lol!!! Alot of people including me voted for Trump because we did not like Hillary! Biden is not Hillary! I voted for Trump in 2016 but will cast my ballot for Biden. I took a chance on the republican party in 2016 and would never again! Biden Harris 2020

      1. Well, remember, Joe, how was Obama’s VP had to step aside for Hilary, and that debate did no favors for Biden. However, ask yourself. Other than racism that been a bedded issue throughout Trump’s presidency and besides the epidemic, where is Trump fail you when you took that chance on the GOP?

      2. donj, I remember you well from 4 years ago when you started talking your voting for the current president. You were questioned by myself and otheres on your reason for your vote especially as a young black man but over the past 4 years you recognize the error of your vote.

It’s not like those issues in American didn’t exist during Obama, just never questioned or talked about. People in politics always keep saying, let’s have a conversation. Well, no one can deny American is having a conversation about race in America. Remember, those Black urban cities are run by the D’s.
