  1. *** Do these popular votes count for anything more than Media Hype with numbers? The State Delegates hold the real juice card votes in the end, when it’s all said and done, no? *** SO FEW WITH SO MUCH POWER, WHO CAN PICK AND SHAPE THE DIRECTION AMERICA GOES IN THE NEAR FUTURE CAN BE A BIT SCARY, NO? ***

  2. Hillary is the lackluster “candidate of the status quo.” The Democratic Party is conceding to the “wacko wing” of the Republican Party by refusing to take a critical, pragmatic look at the two candidates vying for the nomination. Hillary has so many negatives, so much baggage, and nothing exciting to offer. Bernie is offering a new and exciting message and a positive change of direction for this country.

Connecticut, “the land of stupid habits” could be expected to stick with Hillary (and the Greenwich gang-of-three) during this election cycle, but the rest of the Democratic Party will probably suffer from buyer’s remorse in November and stay home or vote for Trump (out of anger and frustration) when they realize they have a plastic candidate who can’t win the general election.

That is why it is critical now for Sanders to remain in the race and consider running as an independent. It is also critical for the Democratic Party and all Democrats to realize failing to embrace change and persevering in support of the establishment “candidate of the status quo” will result in a disastrous defeat in November at the hands of the Joker, Donald Trump.

While Trump is a dangerous shyster and will be a disaster as POTUS, he is still addressing the issues in definitive, albeit illogical, unworkable ways (multiple ways, depending on the day, for each issue). And Trump is a good carnival sideshow huckster who can grab peoples’ attention. And he is exciting. His extreme, off-the-wall comments and solutions represent an exciting change from the lackluster, status-quo approach to our problems that have been the general rule over decades of negative movement of the US. (Exception, George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, both of whom were extremists who used deception and diversion as a pretense of rescuing our situation. Reagan set the stage for our bankruptcy and economic collapse, as well as the present global, geopolitical instability, high nuclear proliferation situation/nuclear conflict risk of the present; GWB prosecuted disastrous domestic and foreign policies that have brought us to our present untenable economic/political/military status.)

If Bernie Sanders can hang in and perhaps benefit from mainstream Democratic Party support for his candidacy, he is capable of salvaging our country from the looming disaster of having either of two incompetent, untrustworthy pretenders in charge of the direction of our country and its leadership of the rest of the world.

Dump Hillary. Stump Trump. Support positive change, support Sanders. Yesterday’s election results were nothing for Connecticut (especially Bridgeport) or the rest of the country to celebrate.
