Bridgeport Part I Crime Update: First Half of 2026

The latest Q1 & Q2 crime statistics show an 8% overall decrease in Part I Crime compared to the first six months of 2025.

Notable reductions include:

Grand Larceny 37%

Sexual Assault 25%

Aggravated Assault 17%

Burglary 5%

Robbery 2%

While Motor Vehicle Theft increased by 1%, overall crime trends are moving in a positive direction thanks to the continued partnership between our officers, community members, businesses, and neighborhood organizations.
