The result reflects Castillo and Pereira working against the Ganim camp. Are we to believe that not a single report on the Paul Ganim AB operation came to the attention of OIB? I was expecting OIB to cover the alleged AB voting by a man who died 5 months ago. Pereira presented and interpreted a copy of the AB application filled by 138th district leader. Pereira has a history of making frivolous allegations and she didn’t provide sufficient details to convince me. If true, I’m putting the district leader of the 138th. on notice: Don’t try that shit again. You must get my approval before attempting to get any dead person to cast a ballot. I’m saving all those votes for the midterms only.
Perhaps, Speedy, however, you forgot to mention the AB game was/is moo point. If Paul produced zero ABs, he still would have won.
To John’s point: if people just showed up and voted, this AB game is a sideshow, not the main event that determines Port elections. That being said, you do have to factor in this being a gubernatorial election. Tough, no one really, Jeff had shot, and just stayed home anyway. 🤣

That being said, it has to make you think, considering Mark teamed up with Maria, who torpedoed his political career, and that senior didn’t do him any favors either, to say the least.

If there were 57,489 registered voters as provided by Sec of State, the article shows % of Dems registered who bothered to vote in the neighborhood of 5200 ballots cast averaged for Governor and Probate. That indicates that 15% of City Dems (34,224 ) cast a ballot for one or both, while no votes have been reported for Republican candidate. No interest? Fair minded journalism?
Of course what you may miss in this review is that 17,933 registered as UNAFFILIATED got no chance to vote, the way they do in an OPEN PRIMARY system. That is a State decision. Other party members number only 402 at the time, with Republican enrollment at 4,930.
How do you carry the message to disaffected Democrats or UNAFFILIATED? Isn’t that the question that requires tackling if you see autocracy at work or system participation closed off to you and your real neighbors. Time will tell.
