Scouting City Votes

Okay boys and girls, the November Neurosis clock is ticking, one week left until the Snow Queen plots her run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Oh wait, I forgot, she’s already doing that. Maybe by then Alaska’s biggest newspaper will declare her sufficiently competent to see through her $20k makeup artist, $150k clothing line and shameless pandering to the religious right.

Barack looks in pretty good shape. For up-to-date polling check out www.rasmussenreports.com.

My focus election night will be bringing you the quickest returns possible for Shays-Himes and Russo-Musto. Many political operatives that read OIB will be collecting returns. Feel free to post them.

Hopefully, Election Day will go relatively smooth, but I’m starting to think 30 other states are on to something with early voting. The only early voting we Nutmeggers can do is by absentee ballot. I’m not persuaded understaffed local election officials will be able to handle the strain of the Election Day turnout in Bridgeport, one of several reasons for early voting.

The office of the Connecticut Secretary of State is doing a nice job notifying new voters–and those that haven’t voted in a while–that they’ll be filling in paper ballot ovals. If you hear about anything kooky on Election Day let me know.

So, are you being inundated with campaign calls? What do you make of candidate mail pieces? If you’re from Bridgeport does it matter to you that both Chris Shays and Rob Russo live in the city? How about folks from Trumbull? Does it make a difference that Anthony Musto is a townie? And what about our huge audience (grin) in Greenwich and their hometown kid Jimmy Himes?

Bridgeport is the hot enchilada in the congressional clash to decide if Shays remains the only New England Republican in the House of Representatives. Pass the jalapeño.

Shays’ percentage totals in the city the past two cycles have averaged in the low 30s. His campaign is making a play at increasing his numbers by a few points. His best bets to pick up numbers are those voting areas with heavier independent and Republican registration such as Black Rock, Winthrop, Blackham, Central, Hooker and Park City, all of which are in Russo’s state senate district. Most of the rest of the city is death valley for a Republican.

Stay tuned.

News release from Rob Russo

Senator Russo Calls on DPUC to Deny UI’s Rate Increase Request

Hartford, CT – State Senator Robert D. Russo (R-Bridgeport) today called on the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC) to deny the most recent rate increase request by United Illuminating (UI). Senator Russo has received a number of calls and emails from constituents after they received a letter from UI notifying them of the potential increase in their electric bills. His comments come three days before the DPUC is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposal.

“During these tough economic times, the DPUC and the State of Connecticut must demand that UI and other utilities make the same sacrifices families across our state are making,” said Senator Russo. “Connecticut consumers already pay the second highest electric rates in the country, topped only by Hawaii. We must insist UI do more with less and exhaust all other options before considering a rate increase.”

In a letter dated October 6, 2008, United Illuminating began informing customers of its intent to secure DPUC approval for an increase in distribution rates. In July, the DPUC denied a similar request. The latest request would change the rates for 2009 and 2010. UI says the average residential consumer using 700 kilowatt hours per month would see a monthly increase of about $6.60 in 2009 and $6.81 in 2010. UI says the rate increases are needed to maintain and upgrade its facilities. The utility also cites three specific reasons for the request: a decline in electricity sales over the past two years, an increase in uncollected bills, and increasing costs of distribution and maintenance.

Senator Russo raised a number of questions about UI’s justification for the requested rate increase, citing changing economic conditions and the declining price of oil. “In August, when this request was made, oil stood at about $115 dollars per barrel. Today, it stands at just under $70 dollars per barrel. While I recognize that our state’s primary source of electric generation is natural gas, this dramatic drop in the price of oil should nonetheless be reflected in reduced generation costs and ultimately lower electric bills,” said Senator Russo.

“Moreover, the decline in revenues is in part due to the recent success of energy efficiency programs, many of which are supported by United Illuminating. How can we now turn around and penalize customers who have made responsible decisions about energy conservation?” asked Senator Russo.

“As we head into winter and the harsh realities of this economic downturn continue, I refuse to stay quiet while UI asks its customers to spend money on this increase,” said Senator Russo. “I understand that times are tough for everyone – families, businesses, even the State of Connecticut itself. But UI must look for other options before it goes knocking on the doors of its customers for a rate hike.”

The DPUC has scheduled a public hearing for Monday October 27, 2008 at 6:30. It will be held in Room G-2 of the Hall of Records which is located at 200 Orange Street in New Haven.

United Illuminating is based in New Haven and distributes electricity to over 320,000 consumers in the Greater Bridgeport and New Haven areas, including two communities in Senator Russo’s district: Bridgeport and Trumbull. For more information, you can contact United Illuminating at 1-800-722-5584 or go to www.uinet.com.

  1. Lennie there you go again with your anti-Palin BS. The $150K wardrobe is not Palin’s to keep after the election. The $20K makeup artist are you kidding me? How much do you think the makeup artist for Joe “foot in mouth” Biden gets to fill in those craters on that old face?
Lennie you and most of the bloggers here never talk about the democratic platform that includes redistribution of wealth. Are you amongst the millions that think they will be getting a free handout once Obama takes office? With his tax on businesses you could be in the unemployement line with many others that voted for Obama.
BTW did you see where the TV station that asked Biden some hard questions on redistribution and used his own words has been told they will no longer have access to the candidates? Obama and his team can’t answer the hard questions.
I hate to say it but a year from now this blog will be full of people moaning about the Obama policies.

  2. Good morning Bridgeport. While I haven’t been posting, I do read the blog. Lennie, thank you for your support a few days ago. I have new information, as well as video from my debates, on-line at www .mountforstaterep.com for any who are interested.

Things here in Monroe and Newtown, are going well and win or lose, this has been a fantastic experience. While people may think this area is a homogenous area where everyone’s needs are the same, it is not. The population runs the socioeconomic gamut. Seniors dominate much of the population and have been the source of some of my best experiences. I often broke the “2 minute at door” political rule and spent a lot of time talking with this forgotten source of knowledge. I now call many of my new friends just to say hello. After the election is over, win or lose, I want to start an adopt a Grandparent program. It would benefit our youth as well as our seniors and perhaps help reduce the budget time animosity.

Thank you again Lennie and to those of you who posted support for me. I look forward to rejoining your discussions soon.

  3. Lennie,
I agree with Wondering that you’ve got to get off this unhealthy Palin obsession. I am starting to think you have an entire room wallpapered with the PhotoShop-doctored bikini shots of Sarah.

Seems to me McCain and his staff have totally screwed up their campaign and let Obama off the hook on so many critical issues as well as the entire Illinois Democrat situation, Reid/Pelosi/Dean triumvirate etc.

Why has he just now started hammering Obama on the tax plan … It’s been out there for a year!

If you were still handling this campaign with your usual proficiency, McCain would be a shoo-in.

  4. Hate to post too much but this just came to me breaking out Obama’s tax policy in terms a non-Ivy leaguer like myself can understand.

It’s from David R. Kamerschen, PhD, Professor of Economics, University of Georgia:

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
    The fifth would pay $1.
    The sixth would pay $3.
    The seventh would pay $7.
    The eighth would pay $12.
    The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.

‘Since you are all such good customers, he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.

Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men–the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each MAN’S bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay!

    And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

‘I only got a dollar out of the $20, ‘declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,’ but he got $10!’

Yeah, that’s right,’ exclaimed the fifth man. ‘I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!’

‘That’s true!!’ shouted the seventh man. ‘Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!’

‘Wait a minute,’ yelled the first four men in unison. ‘We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!’

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

  5. Just a different perspective … George Bush in his wise ways saw this trouble, and John McCain has agreed. So they presented the bar with a credit card from China and opened a tab for the tenth man. He drinks for free now. Since he lives on a trust fund, he doesn’t really need to work. But those few guys in the middle have to stay somewhat sober so they can be productive and work to pay at least the interest payments on the Chinese credit card.

That’s the deal Obama wants to end. He wants that tenth guy, who actually drinks 90% of the beer while no one is looking, to pay his share and stop getting a free ride.

  6. We pay the highest electric rates in the continental U.S.? Good Lord, do they think we all have secret bank accounts that we’re hiding from them to pay for all this stuff? What is it about CT that makes us have to pay the highest?

    0
  7. MCAT–You missed the entire point.

That 10th guy does not drink 90% of the beer, only 10% … But he pays roughly 61% of the entire tab.

Frankly if the four guys who pay nothing didn’t drink so much beer and worked on improving themselves, they would have jobs so they could pay for themselves for a change.

  8. Sarah Palin may be able to dress a Moose. Too bad she can’t dress herself.

Denis: You have me grinning from Beer to Beer. I’m glad to see you’re not on the wagon or gravy train.

  9. Donald Bpt and Mojo

It’s bad form to out people … or in Donald Bpt’s case ATTEMPT to out people.

As for Donald Bpt.’s comments … well I find it kinda funny that you accuse me of talking behind someone’s back when all I did was comment on the blog about Russo’s underhanded robocall to everyone but Bridgeport.

If I ever meet Russo I will tell him straight up how much of a coward he is. Until then I hope he doesn’t continue to robocall people in the ‘burbs and feed them lies about Bridgeport. If he wants to be a Senator then he should take responsibility for his despicable actions.

  10. MCAT #5

“George Bush in his wise ways saw this trouble, and John McCain has agreed.” Following that logic (or illogic depending on where you sit on the issue), George and John at least saw trouble and tried to help out a friend. You didn’t say Obama saw the trouble but do imply that he is happy that the fifth man is now among those receiving a free ride.

My issue is that with the change everyone has lost their incentive to do anything. The five at the bottom will continue to drink for free because #10 has been replaced with a bailout and the rest are in hock up to their eyeballs paying for it all.

Radical change is needed and it doesn’t just stop with cutting off the heads of those at the top. Everyone needs to contribute as the real problem-maker seem to be our moral fiber (the beer) and the good-guy bartender (the executive and legislative branches of gov’t.) The poor need to help themselves, the rich need to pay more and those in the middle need a break.

    Obama, Shays, Russo, I guess!

  11. McCain rips Obama for his “tax and spend” policies even though he’s never taxed and spent.

To which this OIB blogger responds: “Tax and spend” is better than “borrow and buy” which has been the Republican strategy for the past 8 years!

  12. See why Chris Shays thinks Sarah Palin is “Awesome!”

    www .youtube.com/watch?v=UYNtj3DeS3k

He says that Palin is a “real change agent!” I guess that means she can change her clothes quickly. Gee, I wonder if she buys her clothes with Chris at Mitchell’s?

What is really awesome is that it looks like Shays won’t be breaking out his RV this campaign cycle. He will probably say he is saving some green. The truth is he won’t be making any green on charging his campaign committee ten grand for use of his personal property.

  13. Milton Johnson would be a welcome change for the 23rd district. I hope that you all can find a place for common sense to prevail as you step into your polling places next Tuesday to vote for someone who will actually do the right thing and represent all of his constituents. The facts have been presented in my case against Senator Gomes, and although there are some who are loyal to Gomes, it should not outweigh the greater good. The entire district is in need of a real leader, and that leader is me.

  14. I’m surprised that Chris Shays hasn’t used B’port more in his campaigning. After all, the dems keep crying about change and b’port is the best example ever of a place where change is needed. One-party control for decades and the worst school system, no jobs or economic development, corruption and patronage up the wazoo, highest taxes and a soaring crime rate.

Obama may represent the idea of change bringing a better life, but the politics of b’port is still all about “me and my people” and screw the rest of you.

Let’s begin cleaning our own house!

  15. Indy Sole on Ice

Much of what you say is true, but what do Shays or Himes have to do with local issues? Shays was joined at the hip with Ganim and has continued his cozy relationship with Fabrizi and Finch.

Shays has to spend his time and money where the fish are biting. I enjoy a good plate of Fish and Chips every now and then. The Cove features a nice platter during their season. Shays can’t waste his time and energy bottom fishing in Bridgeport. If he spends too much time in Bridgeport he’s going to need a boat and name it “Empty Catch”. I don’t think you are going to be able to “Bail Him Out” on this one.

    0
  16. Shays is cozy with Ganim and Fabrizi, and now Finch. Utter nonsense. Shays always was suspect of Ganim’s later years. Whom do you think called for the investigations that led to Ganim’s convictions? As far as Fabrizi goes, Shays warned that federal money would not be available unless Fabrizi met certain standards of compliance.

I think Shays should spend more money in Bridgeport. He is a lot like Caruso. Caruso ran a campaign like a mute. Not once did he discuss all of the very good things he did for his constituency. Now Shays has a HUGE record of accomplishment in Bridgeport. Yet he chooses not to elaborate. I don’t know why.

All of you people who think Himes is qualified simply because he has a big red “D” tattooed on his elitist ass are wrong.

Shays has done a lot for his congressional district, his city, his state and his country. Just read his web site. You’ll see.

    0
  17. Warren,

If Chris is on his way out as so many are saying, why not go out with a bang? He doesn’t owe Ganim, Fabrizi or Finch anything. In fact, I think he’d give Finch the boot if he ran against him.

And I do agree that the Cove has the best fish and chips!!!

Our last 3 mayors owe Chris a lot for bringing home the bacon. It was our guys who used it to feather their own nests. I’ll be waiting with baited breath (a fishy taste) to see what bucks Himes brings to town.

  18. Breaking news I have not said this in awhile. Republican workers of Chris Shays should be charged with theft and stealing. On State Street today the Shays Campaign tore down the Obama and Himes signs from the sidewalks and they even took them off of people’s lawns which is even a bigger crime and then they put up Shays yard signs all down State Street. What they did is a crime by law, and it is also very childish.

  19. Yahooy

Once again you are talking out of your ass. Shays and Ganim had a love fest going on together. Shays had nothing to do with the FBI coming to town. Shays is a coddler and gusher when it comes to our mayors, because he doesn’t want them working against him.

If Shays has such a HUGE RECORD OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS as you claim, can you name some?
You must have a HUGE ORGAN to make a statement like that. Is it true that you and anna are going to be shacked up at the Liberty Rock taking in the results?

Indy Sole- I think Russo will win and Shays will sleep with the fishes.

    0
  20. Grin Ripper,
I agree with you 100%. Shays has done nothing for the city in 21 years. yahooy has to be the stupidest blogger I have ever seen along with summerwind=dummerwind. And Grin, you are right when you say he talks out of his ass because he does. I’d rather read a Wondering post even though I disagree with him but he does make points. yahooy save your time and stop posting I think many users on here would agree with me, you dummy.

  22. #10- Have “no idea” where Anna is coming from in the prior blog??? ***#4- First of all, the richest man would probably not be out with average Joes & drinking beer @ that! Also the richest man has been for quite a while drinking champagne overseas where it probably cost him less. Also, with all the extra money he’s been saving from the slave labor used in his factories, he can pay political lobbyists to promote for bills that reduce the import/export taxes to & from America, on third-world countries to promote better foreign trade relations, etc. The rich don’t stay rich without the help of the rich; plus they pay their accountants very well to find all the tax loopholes! Oh, after the rich man collects everyone else’s share of money in cash from the beers, he pays the tab with his business credit card & keeps the reciept for his accountant as a business writeoff. Plus, they were drinking Mex. beer as well; so much for your trickle-down economics with Joe & friends! ***

  23. Mojo why don’t you stick to campaign issues instead of this socialist crap that you are writing about. There will always be countries that pay below what we consider a living wage. What do you suggest we cut off all trade with that country? Here is one and you tell me what we should do. In Bolivia they mine silver, the workers range from 13 years old and older. They work their asses off and there is no safety at all. They make $5.00 per day and where they live that is a lot. To get ready for their work they chew coca leaves; 2 lbs of coca leaves costs 2 cents. What should we do about it? Like it or not we will always have rich people and we will always have poor people. My suggestion is think of programs and training that will help our own people get out of poverty.
You can always blame someone else for your problems but maybe a look in the mirror will give people the answer they are looking for instead of blaming the rich and everyone else.

    0
  24. While the working class is suffering from rising cost of everything, how do you justify the top dogs of big companies like Mobil & GE taking home yearly bonuses that amount to more than some of us make in a lifetime? They have all the tax loopholes and the poor janitor in those companies probably pays more tax than they do. They should pay their fair share so that’s why they want to elect McSame because he won’t let that happen. Solid as Barack! We need change right now and he’s the man to do it.

    0
  25. Why is it that we look upon attaining monetary wealth as a bad thing? I thought that as human beings, advancing our existence was the primary objective? I’ve listened to the debates, I’ve monitored the spin from both sides; but even more importantly I’ve heard what people are saying in the streets, and it seems as if this country is more divided than we’ve ever been.
People like to knock Republicans for being rich. Well, the Obamas made $4million in 2007, in personal income. I think that would qualify them as being rich, but that’s okay.
Jim Himes is a millionaire, many times over, but that’s okay.
I love the example about the 10 guys going out for beer because it illustrates our human nature. We hate person #10 because he saved the most, even though he paid the most.
Remember when Gov Rell proposed to eliminate the motor vehicle taxes? Well the Democrat’s argument was that the rich would benefit more from the proposal because they have more expensive cars. When will we learn to stop cutting our noses to spite our faces? Until then, we will never get to see past the R or the D.
    Classism is the new Racism.

  26. Christopher Shays has received over Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars from the National Association of Realtors in campaign PAC mailings this cycle.

I guess the fundamentals of the real estate economy are strong. No one could disagree with that. Yeah Right!

  27. The best vote for Bridgeport is Obama-Shays. We don’t want to trade a hometown Congressman for someone from Greenwich who will show up twice a year and thinks Bridgeport’s future is to supply housing for other towns with jobs.

If it wasn’t for the national environment Himes would not even be a contender in this race. We have an honest, hard-working, moderate and effective Congressman. We should support him.

    0
  28. RedWhiteandBlue,
I could care less where any of the people running for office lives, that is the least of my concerns. Honestly it seems like politicians who live in Bridgeport are the worst, Democrat or Republican.

    0
  29. So Russo is going to try to prevent UI from hiking up its rates? Thats a no-brainer if I ever heard one – what politician looking to impress voters wouldn’t say the same thing? The UI has been doing this over a year now, where were the politicians then-nobody in our corner because it wasn’t election time. I got another robot call from Shays tonight and this time I didn’t even listen to it, same old same old. Time for change – Obama-Himes-Musto!

    0
  30. #34- What’s good for Bolivia is not necessarily good for America! And just because they have & use slave labor does not mean that American Companies have to support that type of pay system overseas to make large profits on the backs of others, it’s not morally right. My so-called socialist rap is the means of how rich big business operates here in America. Making money off the poor, then spending lots of that money in state’s & the Fed. capitol, lobbying for bills that make it easier to export the raw materials, etc. that will assist in making the final products overseas through slave labor. Then another bill to ease the taxes on the imports from these third-world countrys on the goods made for these American Companies. Just maybe if these American Companies paid a decent wage in these countries as well as their own Bolivian Gov. the people wouldn’t be trying so hard to come to America illegally for a better way of living! Do you know just how much it cost Nike to make a pair of Air Jordans in Tailand, to then sell them here in the U.S.A for $160.? Then over here in America the store that sells these products probably pays min. wage to its employees as well! Try to live alone, never mind raise a family on the min. wage of $8.00 an hour. You need #2 jobs and a part-time on your days off just to keep up with some of your bills. Besides I never said anything about cutting trade off with anyone, merely responding to the notion that if the tenth man (or rich man) decided to (stop coming) to the bar because he was paying more & got the better break and beat up for it. The rest are still going to drink, just not as much ’cause the other fool ain’t there to pay for the extra beers! So like in life you must budget & cut down on how often & how much beer they drink; to me it’s a poor comparison altogether. If you make more money, you should pay your fair share of more taxes and if you pay your fair share of more taxes then you should be able to get your fair share of more tax credit! Finally this so-called socialist rap is part of campaign issues that affect many people on different economic levels right here in Conn. it was just being discussed in a different way! For instance, in Hartford if I were elected(positive thinking), I would most definitely lobby for a short study done on increasing the min. wage to a livable wage of say $10. an hour. Also, as a last point something that would affect the politicains in Wash. more than us here in our state capitol; I would call for a study on bringing back the Armed Forces Draft to relieve the overused volunteer soldier! What be your thoughts?

    0
  31. Mojo: You sound like you are running for congress and not State rep. Draft–give me a break. You rail about the poor; who do you think will be drafted? Look up your history and the Vietnam war. The rich went to college or Canada. You should re-think your positions as they do sound socialist.

    0
  32. anna,

You are right, outing is poor form on OIB.

I just thought everybody knew who you were.

The parts of your rant which you will never have the balls to say to Rob Russo’s face are as follows:

“That little platinum-spoon-in-the-mouth spoiled brat loves to push the suburban fear factor.”

    “He’s a little shit”

“I hope Musto takes away that State Senate seat Daddy Warbucks bought for little Robbie’s law school present.”

Like I have said before on this blog, you forgot to throw in a Caruso fat joke, and a Stafstrom fag joke …

    … and go fuck yourself.

If you’re so worked up about Russo, why don’t you just call him? His number is in in the phone book, and he’d probably call you back no matter what flea-bag motel payphone you’re using that week. Skank.

    0
  33. #44- Everything I’ve blogged does or will affect Conn. in one way or another. Plus, what happened in the sixties concerning the draft dodgers & college escapees is not soon to happen again if a service draft were to be passed. The Pepsi generation has come & gone; besides the baby boomer generation is running the show now & is hip to all that anti-establisment doctrine from the past! Look @ our all-volunteer military, regulars, reserves, national guards, all being used & abused serving #18 months of combat duty only to get #13 to #18 months (R&R) and back to a Combat Zone! Nam was only #13 months in the bush & a volunteer basis to go back depending on one’s primary MOS. I don’t have to look up shit when you’ve lived it! Plus what do you know about the poor anyway, movies?

    0
  34. What have you lived? I know about poverty as I lived it as a kid. Do you think today’s poor are the only ones that know what being poor is about? Years ago there were no social programs to help the poor. There were no heating aid payouts. You walked behind the coal trucks hoping to picked up some coal. Years ago a cold-water flat was just that, you used to heat up bricks to put under the sheets just to get a little warmth so you could fall asleep. So don’t start telling me about being poor.
You have a crystal ball and know that the draft will not screw the poor and working class. You are full of shit!!! Anybody living in your area that after reading your blogs over the last few days that votes for you has got to be a moron.

  35. #47- Walking behind coal trucks, heating bricks to put under your sheets, “please”! And you got the nerve to call me a moron! Now I know you’ve been watching the History channel a bit too much! You got a lot of nerve calling me anything after a B/S blog like that! And over a blog opinion at that, you don’t even know me. Just the fact that you try to impress readers on this blog with your GOP, rah rah, let’s go Palin crap, then call people names over silly blogging, tells me you’re basically a follower. The I was poor, dirt poor line was as phoney as the McCain/Palin ticket! And so it doesn’t come as a complete shock to you, most of my blogs lately were about federal level legislation items & just spur of the moment opinion blogging, not local political platforms, etc. … though you probably wouldn’t know the difference? Also judging by all your blogging on this forum, it seems to show a pattern of a person that is a bit lonely & insecure about himself and the world as we know it today. Try & get out more, maybe go see the circus or Disney on Ice! I hear real old senoirs like you get 10% off the tickets! Then you can blog about it later to all the forum readers on OIB!
