  1. This is an interesting subject to be presented on OIB. It comes by way of another street-naming hearing, and in that sense it is curious in a way.
If Chris Rosario has been passionate about the issue, he has also been silent about it for the most part, hasn’t he? What are the connections to Bridgeport residents, any who have served in the unit with merit above average?
Have there been Puerto Rican organizations or people who are famous for their non-violent approach to change or to the pursuit of peace in the world at large? I could get passionate about that type of memorial.

I know Chris is new to the legislature and I have never served there, but perhaps he would share what he has done on behalf of the large number of “English-language learners” in our schools who have a most difficult time getting a solid start with the less than equal school funding from Hartford.
I believe all of our legislative representatives need to focus on priorities that have been neglected for years. No apologies, pursue them passionately for the youth. Any questions? Time will tell.

  2. State Rep Rosario. It is a noble cause. But please stop the renaming of streets. Marshall Lee’s comments are on point. Ask yourself … were any of the Borinqueneers’ a Bpt resident? Did someone from Bpt made such a request you felt compelled to run with it? If not do us a favor, concentrate on blight issues, education and really and truly be a voice for your constituents. You are a kind and cordial gentleman.

    1. invincible, JML, both comments were spot on. I have heard nice things about Mr. Rosario. Bridgeport has so many issues to deal with. Certainly there are more pressing issues to deal with.
