News release from human rights organizations:

Join us on Monday, 5-7 p.m., January 30th at the McLevy Green park (Downtown) for a vigil of resistance and reflection at the heels of the Trump actions against our communities!

Come to share stories, meet your neighbors, listen to music, and have a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

This is a time to show that our city is strong, that our city will resist #trumpshate and that we are all brothers and sisters!

This event will be hosted by Make the Road CT, Bridgeport Gen Now and CTCORE–Organize Now

    While I agree with Americans finally speaking out about the exploitation by American business with regards to illegal immigration and find it unAmerican, I’m saddened it took so long and such an extreme rhetoric from Trump to shine a same light on the inhumane treatment of another human being just seeking out a better life for them and their kids. I have a question for Chris Murphy. If Hillary won the election would such a Democrat immigration police still be in the shadow like the illegal immigrants’ lives under the last eight years?
