On September 18, Our Family Foundation by Stop & Shop, the supermarket’s charitable foundation, KaBOOM!, the national non-profit playground builder, and the City of Bridgeport will partner with more than 400 volunteers to build a new playground in one day at Shell Street and Ocean Terrace based on children’s drawings that will feature new equipment not found in other area playgrounds, including equipment for special-needs children, according to event organizers.
