Well, sorta two parties. The first is a book signing party December 9, 5 p.m. at Rainy Faye’s Bookstore, 1042 Broad Street, entrance on John Street, across from City Hall Annex downtown. I’ll be signing copies of my updated book Only In Bridgeport, a 25th anniversary edition celebrating Bridgeport’s 175 years with more than 40 new photographs and 250 photos in total. Join us, buy a book for mom, dad, granny, that snot-nosed nephew you could never win over, buy one for all your suburban friends! Our genial host, Rainy Faye owner Georgia Day will provide beverages and tasty appetizers. Support a local, independently owned bookstore.
Can’t join us on December 9? Check out the annual OIB holiday party December 15, 5 p.m. at Tiago’s Bar & Grill, 211 State Street downtown, across from McLevy Green! Drum roll …
Melon rolled in prosciutto, fresh vegetables & dip, hot appetizers including a gooey nacho station, chicken cordon bleu bites (stuffed with ham and cheese) all made in-house. First cocktail on OIB. How could you turn that down?
Bring friends and the best rumors in town. Ya never know who’ll show up at an OIB party. Dan Malloy came last year! Ever hear of him? Fantastico karma showing up at an OIB party.
Rainy Faye’s and Tiago’s! Perfect Together!!!
Lennie, when my parents were in the process of moving to Florida, I had to get all my stuff out the attic and lo and behold a MINT autographed copy of “Only in Bridgeport.” You had given me a few to give to Brazilian dignitaries on a trip to Brazil (I kept one for the sentimental value). The others were well received. It felt good to be the only one on the trip with something as personal as a book on their city. Thanks.
