About this event
We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

No Throne, no Crown, no Kings. What about coded sides?
Perhaps a bit “disingenuous,” considering these followers/sponsors are the same as the ICE OUT.
A bit more creative with the words, in its veil of oppression, coded side speaking, as it pertains to rallying the Black Americans, no?

To be fair, since this is a Nation that has no real nationality as it pertains to race, like every other nation on Earth. Race it that path of least resistance, meaning it is reported that 4000 to upward of 30000 Shiite Muslims were killed in Iran who protested their government.
The point being, everybody is racist, or perhaps should I say racial inclination, who would favor their race. However, it is clear that the expectation of participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully, was that no weapons of any kind would be brought to bear.
Where do your values fall on Ayatollah, Supreme Leader? Seems a bit “disingenuous” to leave it out of your values, no? JS
At any rate, try to play nice, people, and not blow up the world.

What say you, roof-bar, record shop, Taste the Movement, Breath of Fresh Air, “Disingenuous”? Povit, Povit!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Besides, where does the King of Kings fall in your “disingenuous” ways with the words, No Kings? 🤣
This dude can spit some words, in that non-violent way, No, No Kings followers?

Two hundred fifty years back, the local folks were likely less diverse than those in Bridgeport, CT today. And after escape from England or another part of Europe whose governance was structured to maintain power through the rights of royalty. There were a variety of kings and queens with different personalities, styles, and ways they used the powers and resources of their dominance.
If you do not see a similarity between a royal king ruling with parliamentary leaders and today with a President who is financially corrupt, governmentally incompetent with failed accountability for his daily lying and miscommunication, as well as bullying tactics and Congress practicing loyalty to such a person rather than to the US Constitution, what can we say to you to bring you to reality?
Is your daytime and nighttime as well, so consumed with attention to your internet connections, that you fail to address a topic with facts, as well as opinions, in such a way that you learn something new and can proudly state that?
As you know the next Casual Civics Conversation starts tonight at 6PM at 1188 Main St, Bridgeport. Stop by. If you cannot make it, perhaps Saturday at Fruta, 9:00 AM will work for you. Attend. You are welcome to carry your questions and opinions to a respectful non-violent conversation. Time will tell.
Fair enough, but whose reality, John? Your reality?
I mean, were there any England Parlimentary Mama Bear folk who led the rebellion against the Kingdom of England that created this nation, and apparently created the elected King Donald of today, two hundred and fifty years later?
Do you think that the old government structure of England, with rights of privilege, wasn’t used as powers and resources of their dominance and baked into America? Or in your reality, do you believe it just came from just peasant folk of Europe who didn’t have the privilege to ever know how to read and write?
You posed a question:
If you do not see a similarity between a royal king ruling with parliamentary leaders and today with a President who is financially corrupt, governmentally incompetent, with failed accountability for his daily lying and miscommunication, as well as bullying tactics and Congress practicing loyalty to such a person rather than to the US Constitution, what can we say to you to bring you to reality?
I know very little about the Kingdom of England, except of occasion movies. But I guess it is fair to say I get the jest. But to allude to the Kingship financially corrupt, governmental incompetencet, with failed accountability for his daily lying and miscommunication, as well as bullying tactics of the past, to President Donald Trump, who perhaps is corrupt in a self-serving way but is not making any governmental decision in running this nation. Says our reality is not aligned, or at the very least, you are lying about your reality of President Donald J Trump.
Or are you saying the Kingdoms of the past are in reality the same as my reality of President Donald J Trump?
In your reality, do you see the similarity in that coded side game? Or does that coded-sided game only exist in my reality?
Is that coded side a spit in America as those Kingdoms of the past?
Is it fair to say perhaps their is similarities in your reality as the God of Gabriel, per se.
What say you, Catholics, Protestants? Judah, Israel? Sunni, Shia?

Also, John, when I find my way out of darken forest and into one of your Casual Civics Conversations, will any of my questions be answered?
And if so, will they be tailored to your reality, your shoes? I know my options will. How can they not, honestly speaking?
Who holds you accountable for your words? Besides, you laid out a litany of charges on Trump, ranging from financially corrupt, governmentally incompetent, failed accountability, daily lying and miscommunication, as well as bullying tactics, and Congress practicing loyalty to such a person rather than to the US Constitution.
Is it fair to say, like Kingdoms/Kingdoms in your reality, America’s democracy is no better nor worse? I mean, if that democracy gave America the Trump of your reality.
So it is also probably fair to say America just had a revolution every four years, for the people, the non-violent revolutions/game.

Final point on this “disingenuous” protest, No Kings, and its subtle protest on Trump, particularly the current “egression” with Iran, as it moved from ICE, immigration, that propagated the non-violent message to target the mind, and the calls to protest President Trump’s actions with regards to Iran.Notwithstanding, they seem to care less about protesters killed in Iran and an Ayatollah Supreme Leader running it govemrnent where women’s rights are being suppressed
The world seems to have a rallying call against Israel’s actions regarding Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, per se. The Palestinian cause, I get. Thought can’t see a Palestinian state like Swiss Cheese.
However, how disingenuous is that rallying call against Israel when no one seemed to care or say shit about Russia and Assad, who gas their own citizens, killing hundreds of thousands, probably in the millions, deplacing 10s of millions, a war that went on for like 15 years.
No national cities’ resolutions on Assad in America, or a World outcry. Shit, I believe the Ds didn’t even let Obama intervene on behalf of Assad gassing his own people.
You have the Russia-Ukraine war going on for 13 years, with massive destruction and perhaps millions of lives lost, and the world really doesn’t seem to care.
Yet, you have Iran clearly interfering in it neigboring nations to gain territorial reach, particularly in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen. per se.
The point being, regardless of the war Iran finds itself in, be it with Israel, via Hamas, (Palestinian) Hezbollah (Lebanon), or the Houthis (Yemen), by extension, America. It is fair to say, based on the other wars like the one in Syria, that lead to new leadership, or the one in Ukraine.
A, Iran can’t say they didn’t start it. You would have to say, Oct 7 was the first shot, per se.
B, Regardless of America’s involvement in the Iran/Israel war, like Russia’s involvement in Syria and its current war with Ukraine. The world is pretty much staying out of the war with Iran. Or at least on some level or coded side trying to win global population support against it, by extension Israel and America.
The fact that Iran is attacking another Gulf states who didn’t attack them and hijacking the waterways of Hormuz on which the world economy and the Gulf states rely. Show how that global population support is playing out, via fuel prices. Per se
Considering the UN, NATO, and every world leader, nation that is affected by Iran’s action to blow up ships in the Strait of Hormuz and stop the flow of Gulf states’ export oil is an act of war on them, an economic war that Iran has declared on the world. Yet the UN, NATO, and the would is not protesting that says this shit is “disingenuous” At least coded side speaking. I would think.
How the world is not collectively taking action against Iran for attacking the Gulf States and shutting down the Strait of Hormuz. Is that a declaration of war by Iran on the Gulf States and every nation in the world? How the world didn’t tell Iran, regardless of the war you found yourself in, your actions are a declaration of war against us, and we will declare war against you if you don’t stop the free passage through the Strait of Hormuz
Am I wrong in coming to that assumption?
To be fair, without a doubt, I know there is some disingenuous shit beyond my understanding. I mean, come on, people. So, good luck, world.
PS, Pepole If your nation is feeling it at the pump, blame your own nation for not telling Iran your actions have declared war on us. We are not part of your war. A war you can say you started, or should I say Hamms, started for you.
Considering that America exports more oil than it imports. Trump/R’s should go to Maxine Waters, cap the price and take over the production within America, as a wartime thing, until the Nations stand up and protect it’s trade and interests.
Chris Murphy, you’ll be down for that Liberal thing, right, 🙂

Internet connections aside, I do not make the distinction between Trump and King George III…Much more of a Teddy Roosevelt/Andrew Jackson. A loud-mouthed, opinionated, often embarassing bull in the China shop.
Certainly not perfectly executed and bombast aside, on a number of issues, I like much of what the Trump administration has been working on:.
Border Security and Immigration:
1. Compared to Biden adminstration, significant reduction in illegal border encounters, with crossings reportedly dropping by over 90% in some sectors.
2. Reinstated the “Remain in Mexico” policy and ended the “Catch and Release” practice.
3. Designated several Latin American cartels as terrorist organizations to combat fentanyl trafficking and organized crime.
4. Increased the pace of deportations, specifically targeting criminal illegal aliens and gang members.
Economy and Trade:
1. Passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” which made the 2017 tax cuts permanent and introduced “No Tax on Tips”.
2. Imposed significant tariffs intended to protect American manufacturing and industries. Supreme Court voted down but still a good brushback pitch. Certainly sets the stage for subsequent trade negotiations.
3. Launched the Sovereign Wealth Fund, established from over $5 trillion in U.S. assets, to strengthen national financial resilience.
4. Initiated a major restructuring of the federal workforce, including ending remote work for federal employees and reducing the size of various agencies. Maybe Lamont should consider a similar look at the CT state workforce, although doubtful with the Dem Legislature .
Foreign Policy and National Security:
1. Secured an agreement for NATO members to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP. Every previous president back to Clinton “diplomatically” tried but being a bull in the China shop was the difference.
2. Mediated multiple international ceasefire agreements. Aren’t the Abraham Accords a step forward?
3. Declared an energy emergency to fast-track oil and gas drilling permits, leading to record levels of domestic energy production. Thank God given current Iran situation.
Do I wish Trump was far more circumspect in his comments and less thin-skinned? Of course. Do I think he is narcisistic jerk with political Tourette’s syndorme? Yes. Do I have fears and concerns? Absolutely. But changes were needed. Hoping Trump adminstration is more correct than not.
Hope all the elderly sanctimonious protesters at Ash Creek enjoy Mar. 28. Let’s hope for rain.
.
Let’s just hope, that Trump has an (airway obstruction) while sucking down a Kentucky Fried Chicken Bone!
Sorry, Jimfox, Trump has since switched to eating Chicken Mcnuggets.
Denis,
Historians reporting from the documents, letters, and local newspapers of the time lay out the fact that citizens of the colonies, though attached to England as a place of origin if they were immigrants, or by relatives remaining across the Atlantic, felt ignored by the King and Parliament of the time. They wanted the respect they believed was their due.
Of course communication was difficult by person or paper as it had to cross the Atlantic, seek an answer, and wait for the response patiently. This is a far cry from a click on social media today for info or a response!! Each colony had its own governance operating relative to the Mother Country. With the power of Law originating in England (without expertise in understanding the predicaments that each colony faced) the various Executive Orders relative to paper goods, tea, etc that we may remember seemed disrespectful. At the same time each colonial territory in its western geography was confronting indigenous peoples and adjusting their settlement to alliances made during the French and Indian War but without English military power protection.
Disrespect, or a lack of caring, plus miscommunication, likely brought us to examining the governance of the time and seeking an alternative. Ben Franklin, in a Philadelphia paper showing a ‘severed serpent identified by initials for colonies’ on May 9 1754 with the words JOIN, OR DIE advising colonials to gather TOGETHER to understand their common cause, and twenty years later they responded as the tempo of change continued.
Donald Trump does not hold up ‘law and order’ undergirded by the US Constitution for folks to follow. He asks us to listen to his lies daily, and observe his sandbox behavior of retaliating against persons who are speaking to subjects in disagreement with him, while exercising powers in excess of his Constitutional authority, especially fiscal and military, by asking Republicans in Congress, to neuter themselves and their constituents who elected them in turn, by following his lead, unlawfully.
My opinion only. Casual Civics Conversation on Bridgeport governance matters Saturday at 9AM, at Fruta. Welcome. Bring your opinions and curiosity. All are welcome. Time will tell.
Another gathering of useful idiots. 😂
Another dismissive ‘opinion’ without any specific evidence provided? Is RA referring to the NO KING PROTEST scheduled at Noon today? Or is he dismissing a session of Casual Civis Conversations?
And RA has three thumbs up for his entry which might indicate that they read all the posts, 14 of them on the way to clicking approval, or not? Conversations in person do not occur in this fashion. They offer more to hear, by patient listening, as well as content for the eyes to discern and add to the trustworthiness of the speaker in presence as well as the concept, idea, or opinion expressed.
Today elected State and City officials were at the table for CCC with three other citizens asking municipal questions that no person present had full answers to offer. Likely with curiosity stimulated, answers will be forthcoming as well as more questions on why the information sought was not displayed on City website or discussed in open forums bearing on housing, youth activities, and economic development in the City. Time will tell.
The no kings John.
After the rallies guess what?
Trumps the president for a few more years.
Btw, did they have a men in drag children’s story hour at the rally? 😂
Asking for a friend. 😆
