Sandwiched by a gator and boa, Mayor Joe Ganim joined Zoo Director Gregg Dancho on Wednesday at a ground breaking for the new kitchen and commissary for animals that will also allow visitors to view state-of-the art food preparation at Connecticut’s only zoo. The project is slated for completion in January 2017. Check out video.

I don’t know who is paying for this. But IMHO the Beardsley Park and Zoo can be very much part of the “revival” of Bridgeport. I support the Beardsley Zoo. It’s another GEM that is too well unknown.
