Asserting he used a “badge to impersonate” a federal Housing and Urban Development worker to confuse and coerce voters at the Harborview Towers public housing units on the East Side, Jazmin Cooper, following up on her complaint last week with the State Elections Enforcement Commission that referred City Councilman Alfredo Castillo for a criminal probe, has filed an additional citizens complaint with the Connecticut United States Attorney’s Office.
Retired from the city’s housing authority that comes under the thumb of the feds, Castillo apparently didn’t retire his badge that becomes a handy tool to manipulate security guards and residents whose votes he seeks to enter federally managed housing units.

These fresh complaints come on the heels of numerous criminal charges against Castillo for state election fraud covering multiple elections.
Cooper says she has video and images of Castillo in action.
A statute in the US code declares:
Whoever falsely assumes or pretends to be an officer or employee acting under the authority of the United States or any department, agency or officer thereof, and acts as such, or in such pretended character demands or obtains any money, paper, document, or thing of value, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Let’s get to the politics of this:
Castillo has had a falling out with City Council President Aidee Nieves and her council partner Maria Valle. He’s supporting their opponents in next week’s general election.
Last month Superior Court Judge Thomas Welch sided with Nieves and Valle who charged in a complaint their 137th District East Side Democratic primary opponents, Ismael Sanchez and Isaac Dickerson, violated state law by submitting fraudulent and forged signature petition sheets to qualify for a September primary.
Sanchez, however, is on the the general election ballot running on the Independent Party line with Wilfredo Martinez, an elected city sheriff. Sanchez also occupies a council spot on The New Movement Party line with Dickerson.
So, this is a council race to watch.
Come the first week in December an election will take place for council president chosen by members of the the legislative body. Nieves wants another two-year term. But others vying for the council presidency include Ernie Newton and Jeanette Herron. And who knows who else will emerge from the 20-member body.
Cooper, active in city elections, is the daughter of East End Councilwoman Eneida Martinez.
In her complaint to the feds Cooper declares Castillo “used the badge to impersonate a HUD worker to illegally have myself banned from Harborview Towers.”
She also adds: “Many voters have voiced concern of being forced to vote or their homes would be placed in jeopardy.”
See Cooper’s complaint to the feds below:

This seems so unnecessary
Speaking of unnecessary, cut off SNAP seems to fall in line with that unnecessary, perhaps disingenuous in some aspects.
I mean, since this shutdown seems to revolve around health care, Obamacare, Affordable Care
Act.
Can’t really speak the sausage making of a 20,000-page bill that’s 7 feet high that encompasses
a 5 trillion-day annually medical industrial complex. But it is fair to say there are some somethings
to talk about what is means to have/create an accessible health care system for the American
people.
From my understanding China spends 1.3 trillion (according to Google) and America spends close to 5 trillion, annually. However,
China has a billion more people. So, to compare that in terms of dollars it would mean America would spend 25 trillion, John L?
You hear, debate in America if healthcare is a right, perhaps it is, the words and languagee is debatable, without a doubt. But form
a government standpoint it’s a fundamental governmental responsibility to provide adequate, quality
health care to icitizens..
How you achieve that can vary, but Occam’s razor suggest government funded/universal health
care insurance system is the correct path.
Listing to both parties speak out both side of their disingenuous mount pieces, make you think, if you are
allowed to.
I mean, the D’s, having Paul to pay for Pete doesn’t constitute creating an affordability health care
system.
R’s saying you want an employee-base health insurance system but then say to receive
government funded health care insurance/system you to be employed, sound very contradicting
to say the least. That too don’t constitute creating an affordable care system too.
Considering America health care system already has privates, the profits and socialized the cost. It seems 8t is more about access to the funds more than making access to quality health care.
SIMPLE means can be
achieved, no?
A, cure ailments not just treat them as a cost ,based on a job security/profit for enrichment. I
mean when you have a joint orthopedics treating patients joints until a replacement surgery is
needed. Yet when it comes to their joints, they will choose a treatment option of regenerated
medical procedure /PRP/Stem cell to avoid mask the joint pain replacement down the road is “inevitable”, is all you need to know, how “disingenuous” this system is.
A system where Treatments are not presented, offered because insurance don,t cover it. So based on that insurances is not the topic of debate, be it single/goverment or privot, Lets face all the do is cut the check, for the most part, don’t cover it
I use offer very
loosely because an offer/quality can be seen as a coded side privilege which is an evil, IMO
In SIMPLE term;
Retirement health insurance plan is there: AKA Medicare, check
Poor/the unemployed health insurance plan is there: AKA Medicaid check paid by the wealthy
Workforce Family health plan:
Employer mandate contribution for each employee/owner to a governmental (base minimal) health
care insurance plan. Similare to Employee contributions like Medicare
Employer option to offer private enhancement plans to attract quality employees through private plans
It is not rocket science or the theory of General Relativity. Sure, it is not 20,000 bill but I Am
sure there are enough people in the room to set the stage. JS
.This guy just runs around the city trying to intimidate people and it’s been going on for years now, remember the confrontation at the ice skating rink a couple years ago?..and now he’s trying to intimidate our most vulnerable residents with threats of losing their homes if they don’t do what he says??…add in the multiple accusations of AB fraud he has against him,I mean what’s going to be next,Castillo threatening physical harm unless you do what he says??..When does common sense prevail over the DTC’s ongoing AB operation?? Something has to be done very soon with Castillo,we just can’t have this guy going around intimidating voters..
It’s not intimidation. It’s a access. The frist thing that has to be done stop betraying something for what it is not.
With regards to Port’s AB game, consider what took place in the last election and this rat nest shit show called Port politics I stand by my assessment Wanda and Steets were not in G2’s camp. But that’s the game. I mean, what falling out could be out there between Streets and sittings council president.
Street is doing what he did/does AB ballot collection, Harvesting.
At any rate good luck.
