The Bridgeport Barnum Festival, a volunteer-driven organization, needs some good men, women and students to assist in a variety of spring and summer events led by 2014 Barnum Festival Ringmaster Paul Timpanelli. On May 8 at 5:30 p.m. volunteers are welcome to attend an open house at Vazzy’s, 513 Broadbridge Road on the city’s Upper East Side. Pizza and salad will be served.
Festival leadership including Ringmaster Timpanelli and event chairs will greet potential new volunteers who would like to assist the festival in organizing the myriad of events taking place through the end of June.
“Volunteers serve as the glue strengthening festival events for more than 60 years,” says Timpanelli. “Help us imagine, inspire and enjoy the festival. Join us for pizza and planning for fun festival events. We have new events this year complementing the flagship events such as the parade and fireworks.”
I was a volunteer when Ringmaster Carbone reigned. It was great fun and rewarding.
