At the last City Council meeting it was the battle of the back turns between the legislative body and members of the community Group Bridgeport Generation Now engaged in a political battle royal for quite some time, the latest over three councilors charged with election fraud stemming from the 2023 municipal cycle.
Gen Now founders, Callie Heilmann and Gemeem Davis, have been particularly vocal during the public speaking portion of the council session. When they stepped up last time to speak several council members turned their backs. Gen Now supporters were reciprocal turning around and walking out of council chambers.
This is one of those tit for tat confrontations with council members asserting Gen Now leadership is duplicitous in its political machinations.
Still, it’s made for some fascinating live tv, council member Jorge Cruz streaming the charges and counter charges on his Facebook page.
Gen Now wants to keep up the pressure. See below from its Facebook page.
Oh, almost forgot, there’s plenty on the council agenda for Monday. See full agenda here
Meanwhile, load up on the popcorn for Monday night.
IDK, people, how much you are going to be “subjective” (honest and fair) when you ask and seek justice and accountability , but y’all saw the same thing I saw.

While the Devil may have created the comment section of the internets. Taht cop wasn’t a white blond female cop, not with that name and voice. JS
Kind of suspected the comment section cop’s description wasn’t the case. In America racial identity politics, when white cop shoots, kills, abuse an arresting black person. That shit is highlighted and made known quick.

P.S John, while we know, Disingenuous is Disingenuous. “Pay your fair share” You have the voice to set/tell the CC to cap the pay of overtime for cops, and pension overtime accumulation too. if in your power/preview
Perhaps a more fitting slogan for government employee, whose pay come off the backs of taxpayers.
Take your fair share. SJ
Try to play nice Peace out.
