Three weeks from the Aug. 14 Democratic primary, State Senate candidates Ed Gomes, Ernie Newton and Andres Ayala will face off on Tuesday (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue, corner of State Street. The forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters and Bridgeport Votes. This will be the second debate among the candidates in Connecticut’s 23rd Senatorial. Over the weekend they appeared on News 12′s Focus on Connecticut hosted by Tom Appleby.
