Ganim Opponents Hit The Streets To Qualify For Primary

The two-week push is on for challengers to mayor Joe Ganim to qualify for the September 12 primary ballot, seeking about 2,000 validated signatures of Democratic voters.

The camps of Lamond Daniels, John Gomes and Marilyn Moore have spread out across the city hunting for signatures. Petition sheets will be submitted to the registrar’s office whose staff will cross reference the names for accuracy. A sizable signature cushion is required to offset submissions rejected by the office.

Daniels, see video above, submitted his consent form seeking signatures on Wednesday.
