Conlon Amendola, a Southport-based family law firm, partnered with A&S Westport Fine Foods on Friday to donate 50 complete Thanksgiving dinners to student families facing food insecurity this holiday season at Capital Prep Harbor School in Bridgeport.

Capital Prep is a tuition-free charter school with a 100% college acceptance rate that provides historically disadvantaged students with the college and career readiness skills needed to become responsible and engaged citizens for social justice.
Each meal includes a fresh turkey and trays of traditional holiday sides, fully prepared by A&S Westport Fine Foods, ensuring families receive a complete and nutritious Thanksgiving feast.
“With rising food prices and growing food insecurity in our community, we knew we had to step in when we learned that dozens of families at Capital Prep Harbor would go without a holiday meal this year,” said Jacquelyn Conlon and Bonnie Amendola, partners at Conlon Amendola.

Dr. Joan Miller, of Capital Prep Harbor Upper School, explained to the law partners that a previous corporate donor was unable to fulfill its annual commitment and, sadly, need had grown from 20 to nearly 50 families.
Conlon and Amendola immediately reached out to friend and A&S Westport owner Patricia Pizzirusso who promptly committed to donate 50 fresh turkeys, with Conlon Amendola covering the cost of all accompanying sides.
Upon hearing about the effort, Dr. John J. Corino of Norwalk Dental Arts—a longtime friend of Pizzirusso—made a generous donation to ensure even more student families could be supported this Thanksgiving.
