First Homicide Of 2016

A 29-year-old man was shot to death Thursday night at Stratford Avenue and Connecticut Avenue in the East End, according to police. It was the first homicide of 2016. Officers found the victim Javoni Patton of Elizabeth Street lying in the middle of the intersection. He had been shot several times, including in the chest.

Patton’s driver side car door was open with personal items strewn about. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and died shortly after. Anyone with information should contact Detective Winkler at 203-581-5224.

  1. I guess candidate Joe thought it was important to show up at events like this in order to blame the mayor for acts of violence like this, but Mayor Joe, well Mayor Joe is not going to blame the mayor, so he is a no-show.
