  1. I arrived very late at just about 8:00 p.m. I was truly impressed by the number of Bridgeport residents who were present. Had to be about 25 of us. Thank goodness they extended the discussion by an extra half hour.

I was allowed to ask a question regarding potential litigation against charter schools we are starting to discuss in Bridgeport. However, before I asked my question, I was able to state if you have BOE members who support charter schools, you have to vote them off the true public school board. If you have a superintendent who supports charter schools, get rid of them, too. I said that is what we are doing in Bridgeport. I received quite a bit of applause.

Fran Rabinowitz was sitting just two rows ahead of me. My friend told me her cheeks turned bright red and she put her head down. I wonder why Fran reacted that way? 🙂
