Mark Bradley, left, under investigation for election fraud, brother Dennis, loses law license because of it.
Superior Court Judge Thomas Welch on Friday suspended the law license of former State Senator Dennis Bradley, convicted by a federal jury in March on multiple counts of election fraud stemming from his 2018 run for the state legislature. See federal government news release here
Bradley, according to the court order, is placed on interim suspension effective July 17 until further order of the court.
The application for the order was filed by Connecticut’s Office Of Chief Disciplinary Council that monitors the conduct of lawyers.
Bradley helms a Bridgeport law firm with his brother Mark Bradley, a candidate for judge of probate, who is also under investigation for election fraud by the State Elections Enforcement Commission for voting dually in two states, as a Republican in Massachusetts and Democrat in Bridgeport, in violation of respective state laws.
Mark Bradley claims a Bridgeport residency for the purpose of running for public office but the overwhelming evidence shows, based on OIB reviews of his Massachusetts business dealings, he’s a bona fide resident of that state: attesting to a Massachusetts domicile under oath, his children residing there and receiving health benefits there, as well as a messy child custody case.
Voter history provided by election officials in Bridgeport and Massachusetts shows Mark Bradley has voted simultaneously in multiple election cycles, including at least once on the same day.
Local, state and federal law universally applies: it’s one person, one vote, not two locations and two votes.
For Dennis Bradley, awaiting federal sentencing, this is a classic case of doing things his own way, damn the consequences of cheating taxpayers out of money and manipulating campaign underlings to falsify donation cards on his behalf for a large chunk of free money.
It’s become completely clear in the mindset of the Bradley Law Group: there’s local law, state law, federal law and Bradley law.
And, now, we’re seeing the results of that mindset.
