  1. These local police stations are a bunch of public-relations bullshit, pure and simple. We don’t need them and we don’t need the extra expense of paying rent and upkeep. Another waste of money.

  2. Andy,
With all the complaints about lack of followup of constituent calls for assistance we heard at North End Library last week, why would you have offices to staff? If there are not enough officers to fill out basic and other needs, what good is an empty office? What rental expense is covered here that might be used more profitably elsewhere? Who makes these decisions? Police Commission? Chief? Mayor? OPM? And how many people have looked at the nine overtime categories and the nine Police Department sections that create about 81 numbers you must total to find out where the PD stands on OT? Whose idea was this? Captain Obfuscation? Time will tell.

  3. The former Fire Station, Engine 2, on Clarence Street was renovated in the late 1990s by the City to have the East Side Precinct and community room there. It operated for years as such but I noticed last year it was vacant and boarded up. What gives?

  4. These neighborhood precincts are pure bullshit. If a person has information for the PD do they think he would want to be seen walking in or out of a police station??? Why do we keep spending money on this crap? Are we paying off politically active landlords?
