Casting director Morgan Burch has put out the call for Bridgeport community extras for a film short at the closed Majestic Theater Downtown. Bridgeport was a hot entertainment town thanks in part to Sylvester Poli whose twin jewels have been closed for more than 40 years. Burch is seeking extras to serve as a theater audience on Thursday.
We are filming a short called The Moor with an Oscar-winning producer and a Sundance award-winning cinematographer at The Majestic. We have Zach Grenier (The Good Wife) and Jeff DeMunn (Walking Dead) as two of our leading actors. On Thursday, from 2:30-6:30, we would love to pull in the Bridgeport community as extras to be a theater audience for a scene in the movie. It is a passion project for all involved, making it an unpaid venture. Nonetheless, some of the greatest crew members in New York City have volunteered to see this great film come to fruition. If you are interested in joining in, send an email to morganburch@gmail.com.

So with all of the bids that were received to revitalize Downtown North, what was proposed to be done with the two theaters? Nothing?
Will they need to wear HAZMAT suits?
Hear we go. Doom and gloom. Something positive for the Bpt arts community and we get negativity. Embrace the positives, you freaking jerks.
Coach, have you been inside the theaters any time in the last decade?
Come on … you really think they will at least make sure it’s a safe environment?
