From Bill Kaempffer, city police spokesman:

Two men face robbery-related charges in connection with the robbery of a food delivery driver. Police responded to the 100 block of Center Street on Sunday night on a report of a robbery of a driver from the Panda Chinese Restaurant. The victim told Officers Gabor Meszaros and Daniel Orlich that he was making a delivery when an individual approached and told him to “run everything,” which is street lingo demanding a person to turn over possessions. He turned over his wallet and phone and one of the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.

A description of the car was put out over the police radio, and Officer Mark Martocchio observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the Charles F. Greene Homes apartment complex. His dog (Trace) tracked the scent to Building 4 in the complex and Martocchio located four individuals loitering on the fifth floor.

Two were identified as the robbers. The other two were given trespassing warnings.

Markel Tolbert, 25, and Lamain Heard, 23, both were charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny and criminal trespass. Their bonds were set at $25,000 each.
