– Bikeport Co-op, Bridgeport’s only bicycle cooperative, located at the Arcade Mall, 1001 Main Street Suite 14, is donating 65 bicycles to Bridgeport children living at 200% below the poverty line. Bikeport has partnered with ABCD Inc. to match children with bikes.
– Children will receive bicycles and helmets at Bikeport’s Holiday Giving Event, 12/23/2015, 2PM at ABCD Inc., 1070 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604. Mayor Joseph P. Ganim, State Representative Ezequiel Santiago, and Bikeport Executive Director Jacob Robison will be speaking at the event.– Bikeport Co-op is a non-profit bicycle cooperative that specializes in giving Bridgeport youth the opportunity to enjoy bicycles. During the summer Bikeport offers an earn-a-bike program for high school youth enrolled in the BuildOn program and hosts group bike rides which explore Bridgeport.
– Bikeport sells affordable, quality used bicycles to raise funds for its giving programs.
– Bikeport’s major sponsors are Patagonia Westport and IDEAS For Us, Inc.
– Resource Services, Inc. has donated 20 new bikes to the Holiday Giving Event.
