  2. Whether you are for him, against him or suspending judgement on that issue, this video indicates he is talking about the important issues of the day.
Andres was a Council member and preceded Tom McCarthy as Council President. Have you heard any peep from a Council person about the pursuit of balanced budget for the City? NOoooooo. All you have heard is silence, because GHOST POSITIONS are vacant positions. You don’t see people because there are no people there. No people doing City work for which the Council has voted compensation and benefits when they review and approve the budget.

And then in September, the administration appears to have eliminated about $4 Million of this funding. Did Andres say BALANCED BUDGET for the State? What about our City? What say the City Council members? NOTHING. What says Tom Sherwood, Anne Kelly-Lenz or Mayor Finch? NOTHING. The money is in the budget still. Where is it being spent? And the budget shows impending deficit, but no comments on variance. Oh NOOOoooooo. That’s the sound of moaning from taxpayers when taxes get raised.

The public will vote for City Council representation this year. Which Council members have a clue about budgets, capital planning, and where the money is truly spent? Ghost Expenses are worse than Ghost Positions because they are not located in just one Line Item (51000)! They are all over the budget plan. OHHHhhhhhh Noooooo! Time will tell.

    1. You keep going on and on about “ghost positions.” Since you’re obviously so passionate about it, how about you be more specific? What positions do you think are “ghost positions” and WHO specifically do you think are the ghosts in these positions?
