An OIB Moment: A Shop Of Curiosities In East End

How about curating some Bridgeport pols!

From Andrew DaRosa, CT Post:

“Welcome to my nightmare,” Cohn jokingly tells us as we walk in through the door on this Tuesday afternoon, hidden behind the thick frames of his glasses. Stepping through into CVRATED is like going through a portal to another world – one filled with anatomical curiosities, taxidermies stuck in time and items that feel like they shouldn’t exist.

CVRATED by Ryan Matthew Cohn is Bridgeport’s new oddity store, which opened to the public in February. The shop is the brainchild of Cohn, who is a veteran of the antique and oddity field, and was the co-host of Discovery Channel’s “Oddities.”

Cohn, 45, describes himself as a long-time lover of oddities, collecting natural history specimens in the woods as a kid and making shadow boxes with bird eggs. At 18, he moved to New York City and immersed himself in this booming scene of antique flea markets in the city.

…Everything from antique signs and furniture to human medical skulls and leather ottomans in the shape of a rhino and elephant can be found sprawled across the shop. He said some of the more unique pieces in the shop include a turn-of-the-century, human-operated Tibetan puppet (which towers over the shop like a silent guardian), an old amusement ride that belonged to luxury designer Gianni Versace and is believed to be from his Miami estate, and an adolescent taxidermied giraffe that dates back to the mid-20th century.

    1. “How about curating some Bridgeport pols!”

Lennie, at least a part of pols. Imagine my formerly owned left hand Index finger in a jar! I gifted the guillotine (the hammer went missing) to Andrew D. Gore of Maryland. He has a Facebook page.

  1. On a serious note.

As this war plays out in the Middle East with Iran, the world was captivated by news of this downed airman, wondering if he would be rescued or captured and used as propaganda by the Iranians.

Depending on your political “side,” here in America, I would bet that there were quite a few who care less about this service member being captured, tortured to support their anti-Trump/America political side. Or any other American armed forces service member, for that matter. In fact, they were hoping he would be captured and paraded on the news by Iran, just like we have seen in the shit show in Gaza. You know how you are.

  2. That being said, there is no doubt that war is big business and perhaps sometimes made for fun. The use of God as a means of control via oppression, AKA an Ayatollah Supreme Leader for your disingenuous puppet, may have some consequences in the eyes of the Lord, to be played in such a way. I would think. I mean, at least pick a King, a dictator, a president, a Chief, or some other human leader to do your bidding, no? I would think keeping God out of your homicidal maniac tendency to maintain control/oppression view is reasonable, no? Perhaps a moron. Things that make you go HMMMM!

    Meanwhile, no American is “disingenuous.”

  3. That being said, we all know how disingenuous the news can be, to say the least, as well as wars. But you have to think when they talk about the shadow Iranian oil tankers, has to make you laugh.

I mean, here you have the news talking about a troop build-up to take control of Iran’s Kharg Island, which has been reported to control 90% of Iran’s oil export, and if stopped will undermine Iran’s ability to wage war in it operations support in other Middle East countries, via Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen, various Shia militias in Iraq and Syria, and Hamas in Gaza.

There is nothing shadowy about an oil tanker dock loading up oil at an island, people.

Shit, you would think, America/the world, for that matter, would track every ship that leaves with oil from Iran, confiscate it, in the form of allowing it to be sold, the money placed in a secured account and held for the Iranian government when a deal is reached, and the war is over.

It can be said that Iran can stop any oil tanker from crossing the Strait of Hormuz. Iran can’t stop any of its ships from being stop outside the Strait of Hormuz.

No need to take the Island, put troops in harm’s way, just take the oil ships, secure the funds for Iran until a deal is made.

This shit show is an easy deal, per se

A Palestinian gets a homeland in that two state solutions. That everybody agreed on at one time or another, for the most part
B Iran stops their proxy wars/arms in the region
C stop all enrichment, and import it’s needed material for other countries’ energy. No Nuclear weaponry whatsoever
D I guess they limited their miles capabilities
E Reduce the Ayatollah/God to it natural state. I mean to use God in such a way, perhaps it is not wise. What say you to Keymaster?

I mean, I find it “disingenuous; to say the least, Iran says it has not started this war/aggression and is not the aggressor, taking/selling the moral high ground, Yet have know issuse of using God as a means of aggression/oppression, particularly in the female species. That shit show is between you and the Keymaster Iran, people JS

I mean, sure, no father wants their daughters to be a ho, a drug addict, or even a heathen/non-believer. But to say a father would kill their daughters because of it. Or allow a man to beat her just because she is female. Is not a God thing. Shit, it’s not even a human common sence thing, people. JS

    Good Luck, people/ World
