Mario Cuomo’s Greatest Hits Included Bridgeport

Long before he became governor of New York and dazzled the 1984 Democratic National Convention with eloquent oratory, Mario Cuomo played minor league baseball in Bridgeport, according to a statement he made in Ken Burns’ documentary Baseball. Cuomo passed away on Thursday at the age of 82. This speech placed him on the national stage.
