Business Owner Hosts Fundraiser For Two-Year-Old Victim

Made In Bridgeport business owner Robin Gilmore will host a fundraiser on Saturday May 18th during the Create Here Now Bridgeport Spring Up Grand Opening at the Arcade Mall, 1001 Main Street Downtown. Cookies donated by local businesses, friends and family will be sold to assist the expenses for two-year-old Corey Gordon Jr., victim of a hit and run driver on April 30th. The child has been in serious condition, undergoing treatment at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to Gilmore. After being in a coma, partial skull removal and partial paralysis, Corey’s condition is showing improvements, she says. “The rehabilitation treatment, travel expenses and other care has added up and the family needs some assistance as well as prayers during this agonizing period while he is in recovery.” Local businesses that would like to donate baked goods, cookies or refreshments to “Cookies for Corey” please contact Ms. Gilmore at madeinbridgeport@gmail.com

  1. Let’s turn this terrible, terrible tragedy into an opportunity to do something good for this family. Spread the word from this blog and to your friends everywhere. This is a child and a mother who will need very significant help. Let’s go OIB and Bridgeport. We can feel sorry for ourselves all day long because we have an incompetent Mayor and a City Council without guts, but here is an opportunity to do something important. Do it!
