Mayor Joe Ganim will deliver his annual State Of The City to the business community on Wednesday, 3 p.m. at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater.
This event is a significant fundraiser for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council so if you don’t want to pony up or cannot attend, the event will be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page.
Positive pulses are always at the core of these events, but on Wednesday Ganim has a number of significant goodies to tick off including a historically low tax rate not seen in more than 50 years, a major new investment in education, a sizable reduction in crime the past two years, Steelpointe Harbor going vertical with the start of more than 400 units of luxury units coming on line in mid June, 20 percent marketed to middle income earners subsidized under the state’s Build For Connecticut program.
