Happy New Year Bridgeport Resident Mario Testa

After decades of insinuations that Democratic Town Chair Mario Testa doesn’t reside in Bridgeport the State Elections Enforcement Commission, after an investigation, has ruled he is in fact a “bona fide” resident of Bridgeport at the Inwood high rise on Park Avenue.

More than a year ago, Laura Von Stein who also resided at the Inwood, falsely alleged in a complaint that the town chairman doesn’t live there or in Bridgeport where he votes.

The history of Testa’s residency goes back to the 1990s. He had an apartment above his restaurant on Madison Avenue. He has also for decades owned waterfront property along Lake Zoar in Monroe. He had the same living arrangement when he renovated the former Three Door Inn into a new restaurant on north Madison Avenue which he and his nephew Ralph sold in 2023.

Testa purchased an Inwood condo for $250,000 as his new address.

It took the commission more than a year to make its findings but at its last meeting December 18, formally ruled on the matter.

Johnny Ross, a staff attorney for SEEC, advised the commission of his findings:

“After gathering a considerable amount of documents, as well as holding a recorded and attested to meeting with respondent Testa and his counsel, the commission has indicia of support for the conclusion … he does reside at a residence inside of the City of Bridgeport.”

The commission unanimously dismissed the complaint. See video of commission meeting above.

  1. Hey Jim if Mario cured all diseases and fed all the hungry what type of vitriol comment would you make about that? Just asking. The man isn’t guilty, give it a break.

    1. Hey Joe,
Your guy, (Righteous Testo) would never put a 177-unit marketplace housing complex, in a beautiful neighborhood like that, instead after 47 years in business he would put in a nice open space Park for all to enjoy.

My guy, (Unrighteous, Wicket Testo) would sale to the highest flucking bidder and with his political skills walk it through Zoning with no dissension while giving the (bird) to the entire neighborhood and cutting no one a flucking break and then using 45 Lyon Terrace basement as his new home address!

  2. Jim this story is about a challenge as to the man’s residence. The proper authority determined that he does live in Bridgeport. You seem to be looking for something to bitch about. Nothing you suggest relates to the story. Maybe you should become a food critic, then you can visit his restaurant, have a nice meal and tell anyone that wants to listen how bad you think the food is. It will keep you busy and give you something to bitch about. ( However it is very unlikely that you wouldn’t enjoy your meal unless you just order something that you don’t like. Good luck! And a happy and healthy new year to you and your family.
