Watch: Grand Opening Of Historic Bridgeport Pride Center

Backed by a $100,000 grant from the Leonard-Litz Foundation to advance the wellbeing of the LGBTQ community, officials conducted a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the nonprofit Bridgeport Pride Center that will provide social services, youth programming and homelessness assistance.

“We’re creating a network of support that addresses housing, mental health and other crucial needs,” said State Rep. Marcus Brown who serves as executive director. “We’re not treating symptoms, we are working towards systematic change in our community.”
