You’ve got to hand it to Rev. Ken Moales, president of the Board of Education, for finding ways to stay in the news. Does he follow trouble, or does trouble follow him? Foreclosure action against his East End church, raucous school board meetings, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, revving up his wheels to more than 70 miles per hour. A re-arrest was ordered about a month ago for what appears to be Moales not responding to motor vehicle infractions in February, according to this court report.
Are you wondering if Moales takes public relations lessons from State Rep. Christina Ayala? Video above shows Moales during a school board meeting early this year uttering his infamous Ritalin line.
But then again one of his favorite sparring partners on the school board Maria Pereira also adds a lot of zest at meetings as seen in this video from a recent wild session yelling at City Attorney Mark Anastasi. Maria’s not seeking reelection. Maria, you’re spoiling all our fun.
Be, you think Moales is a role model? I don’t. By the way are arrest records of all school board members relevant? Should they be published no matter how many years they go back?
To show how he conducts himself during the course of a meeting as well as showing how Maria Pereira conducts herself at times. These are your elected officials at work.
Just for the record (no pun intended), there is one other.
Godiva … nice one. I don’t think anyone wants to go there. I did read the Post article where the comment was made about Moales’ disregard for the law … really? LOL.
Only if Republican Rick Torres ran for the BOE and got elected, can you talk about “DYSFUNCTIONAL meetings.”
Really? Was there a real reason to invent a reason to go after Torres here?
Mustang Sally, image a Republican Rick Torres on the BOE trying to tell Rev. Ken Moales about Torres’ “black ministry.”
That actually could be pretty funny. Moales would have a “blessed conniption.” 😉
Mustang Sally, on this one my money is on Rev. Moales all the way, in fact Rick could learn something, no, on second thought Rick doesn’t listen to anyone.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a Board of Education that put the kids–not power, politics or personalities–first?
What a video, no wonder Bridgeport is ranked 165 out of 165 school districts.
*** Rev. Torres will be opening a New House of Prayer for All Peeps soon in Black Rock, home of “Black Rockers” near and far! And if elected to the City Council, no telling where this Mission of Unhappy Park City Taxpayers will end up! *** For Donations Please Stop By and Buy a Bagel with Cream Cheese Soon, no? ***
