From Mayor Finch:
The sound of holiday carols will fill the air when the annual Downtown Tree and Menorah Lighting takes place on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at McLevy Green.
The event, sponsored jointly by the Downtown Special Services District and the City of Bridgeport, will feature performances by the Park City Pride Drum and Bugle Corps, Central High School Choir, Lighthouse Children’s Gospel Choir and the Bridgeport Theatre Company.
Mayor Bill Finch and family will join Santa in throwing the switch. In addition, representatives of the Jewish community will light a menorah to pay homage to Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights.
The event is free and open to the public.

Btw I stopped by the new Mexican restaurant downtown. Tomatillo’s had three tacos you build your own. Nice place, nice addition to the downtown flavor. The North End has a new rib place open in the Brookside shopping center. Place was packed.
Boy Auerbach, you eat out a lot! 🙂
