Two weeks ago OIB conducted an unscientific poll to gauge reader input for the governor’s race. It was 46 percent for Republican Tom Foley and 46 percent for incumbent Democrat Dan Malloy. With about a week left until Election Day, let us know your preference.
If the election for Governor were being held today and the candidates were Tom Foley (R), Dan Malloy (D), Joe Visconti (petition) and Jonathan Pelto (write-in), for whom would you vote?
- Dan Malloy (Democrat) (49%, 63 Votes)
- Tom Foley (Republican) (46%, 59 Votes)
- Jonathan Pelto (write-in) (3%, 4 Votes)
- Joe Visconti (petitioning candidate) (2%, 2 Votes)
Total Voters: 128

It would also be nice if we could see precinct results from 2010.

Lennie, can you get the results by precinct of Ella Grasso’s first run for Governor? I have heard that election has set the standard by which other governor races are judged.
Troll, you’re killing me. I thought you’d push it all the way back to Wilbur Cross/Ray Baldwin/Jasper McLevy race for governor in 1938.
Ella was the first gubernatorial candidate I worked for. I figured that would make it enough of a standard bearer for most.
Are you implying Malloy is like Ella Grasso? If so ,Speedy says, “you asso.”
I see the CT Post is grasping at straws about an issue in Greenwich Foley was involved in and settled amicably by trying to make him an anti-environmental person … shame on the Post.
Malloy is still just another lifelong politician trying to keep his political position without having done anything for the citizens of Bridgeport (in particular).
