Watch: Officials Provide Update On Gas Odor That Led To 1,000 Calls

Following more than 1,000 emergency calls, Fire Chief Lance Edwards and Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Operations Center, share an update about a gas smell throughout the city, saying there’s no threat to the public.

Fuel Cell Energy on Hancock Avenue in Bridgeport started a controlled purge at that facility. They said it caused an odor that can be smelled throughout that area, including in the Stratfield section of Fairfield.
