Obama Postpones Bridgeport Visit Due To Ebola Response, Plans Return

President Obama has cancelled his scheduled visit to campaign in Bridgeport tonight to convene cabinet officials to coordinate the government’s Ebola response at the White House. He also cancelled a planned fundraising trip to New Jersey. Event organizers announced the campaign stop will be rescheduled. The Connecticut Democratic Party released this statement:

Those who were planning to attend tonight’s rally will have priority to attend when the President returns later in the campaign by visiting a Democratic Party field office, dropping off their tickets, and providing their contact information.

Starting on Monday, October 20th at 10:00 AM, those with tickets must return them to any of the below locations by next Thursday, October 23nd at 5:00 PM to have priority for when the President returns.

  1. I guess they don’t want anyone to have a souvenir from this aborted visit. What are the powers that be going to do with these tickets? My bet is they are going to give them to relatives as gifts.

    Well, wouldn’t it be amazing if Clinton and Obama showed up in Bridgeport? I’m thinking that will be the icing on the cake and well worth the wait.
