The Kohut for Mayor Campaign proudly announces the official kick-off of the organization’s “Count-down to November 8” activities … A campaign kick-off event will be held on June 16, 2011.

Date/Time – Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Place – McLevy Green (State Street and Main/downtown Bridgeport)
The public is invited to come and meet Independent mayoral candidate Jeff Kohut in a relaxed, festive atmosphere at the city’s most venerable historic venue, located in the heart of the emergent Bridgeport downtown. Following a meet-and-greet session beginning at 6:00 PM, the candidate will present his ideas for a Bridgeport renaissance, during which time the public will be provided with the opportunity to ask questions concerning the major issues facing the next mayor–including the areas of Education, Economic Development, Public Safety, the Environment, Tax Relief, and city Fiscal/Administrative Policy. The presentation/questions will be followed by an opportunity for conversation with the candidate. (Soft drinks/light snacks will be provided).

This isn’t your time. I would say the same thing to Charlie Coveillo. If we all recognize the need for change the cancer must be destroyed. If we divide the field the Mayor will win. A three-way race goes to Bill Finch. Pick a candidate and support him or her. Ultimately only one candidate can oppose Finch in a primary. If that fails to happen vote Republican.
Charlie Coviello never had a time. He’s a hanger-on type looking for a city job for which he is eminently unqualified. He came up through the Mandanici administration, did nothing, and now look at him … a gadfly with few constituents.
The trouble with the Republicans is they can’t get off their bar stools over at the yacht club.
